Esme slipped contact's into my eyes as we were getting ready for Dad's visit.
"These will irritate your eyes at first." Alice warned us.
"The main thing is to try and not move to fast." Carlisle continued.
"Why don't you try taking a seat. Crossing your legs." Esme offered. We both stood and vamp sped to sit down. This was not going quite well. I crossed my legs to try and make it a good finish.
"Maybe a tad slower." Esme said
"And blink at least three times a minute." I blinked a couple of times
"Good."
"For a cartoon character." Jacob muttered
"Can it Jacob." I snipped
"Hold your breath. It will help with the thirst." Carlisle told us
"But move your shoulder so it looks like your breathing." I moved my shoulder
"And don't sit so straight. Human's don't do that" I slouched
"Okay, got move, blink slouch." I heard Dad's car pulling up in the drive way and Cleo barking. Everyone but our spouse's exited. I sat down on the couch with my sister.
"Ready?" I asked
"As I'll ever be." Charlie and Cleo were brought upstairs. This would be the first time I actually see him in years which made me very nervous. Bella took my hand and gave a small smile. Jasper and Edward stood upon Dad entering.
"Bella, Jack." He looked so sad, it broke my unbeaten heart.
"Hi Dad." We replied in unison. Cleo barked and ran over to me
"Hey girl." I petted her as she licked my face. I giggled and pulled away to look back at Dad.
"Are you okay?"
"Never better." I smiled a little
"Healthy as a horse." Bella added. He nodded slightly
"You don't turn into a huge animal, do you?" there was a little chuckle at that
"They wish they were that awesome." I looked to Edward and gave him the nod for them to leave
"Let's give them some privacy." They left so it was just the three of us. The two of us shifted up a little for Dad to sit down.
"Jake said that this...This was nessacery. What does that mean?"
"We really think that it would be better..." Bella started but was cut off
"I wanna know what happened to the two of you."
"We can't tell you." I told him
"I think I deserve an explanation."
"You do. But if you really need one, we can't stay here." He got up annoyed.
"Oh come on. No! No more leaving." I looked at Bella 'Let me try and handle this.' she agreed and I stood too
"Dad, you need to trust that for whatever reason, Bella and I we're alright. We're more than alright. Can you live with that?"
"Can I live with that? Well I don't know Jack. I mean I've just watched a kid I've known his entire life, turn into a very large dog. My daughters look like my daughter, but doesn't." I walked over to him a looked him dead in the eye
"Can you please just believe that we'll tell you what you need to know." I plead
"Well." He looked anywhere but me for a moment "Not going to lose you again. Can't"
"Then you won't we promise." The two of us hugged our Dad.
"I missed you two." I snuggled deeper into his hug.
"We missed you Dad." We replied. I stood there for a moment longer.
"Charlie." We looked up. Jasper and Edward had brought the kids in.
"These are Mason and Elizabeth." Edward introduced the twins
"And this is Reneesme." Jasper smiled. I walked over and took Mason.
"Your nieces and nephew."
"Our children" Edward corrected.
"Right the adoption." he nodded "They have your eyes girls." I smiled and played with Mason's fingers.
"Need to know?"
"Yeah." I confirmed. Elizabeth reached out toward her grandpa. Edward gave her to him and she gurgled in happiness. He stayed for a while and got to know his grandchildren before he left.
"Well done girls. I've never seen newborns show that kind of restrain." We turned to face our husbands and Emmett.
"I'm not sure they are newborns, they're so tame." Emmett challenged
"Emmett don't antagonize them, they're the strongest one's in the house." He scoffed
"Please."
'Please let me take him, you had Jacob.' I thought to my sister. She looked at me with a smirk
' Of course'

In the woods Emmett brought over a big bolder and I rested my elbow
"Careful Emmett." Edward chimed
"On three." Jasper called holding Bella's waist. "1...2...3..." I gripped his hand and he started pushing mine. I concentrated more putting force into it before slapping his arm down. I laughed
"Did you see that?" I asked them I punched and kicked the bolder happy with my new strength
"Thank you." I threw a piece to Bella. She caught it but noticed something a ray of sunlight. We both stood and looked up.
"Jackie, you're glimmering." Rebekah stated
"So?" I shrugged
"We sparkle, not glimmer." Bella told me I turned to face the other.
"Carlisle, she different from all of us."
"How do you mean Edward."
"Yes how." I folded my arms
"When you're hungry, You have veins under your eyes, you're a little warmer than us and you glimmer."
"Only we have veins under our eyes."
"So I'm a little different."
"Jackie when I say food what comes to mind?" Carlisle asks
"Pancakes and blood. Oh blood." I went into a bit of a daze
"Jack." I snapped my attention back
"Yeah."
"Rebekah you say that you can heal humans with blood. Yes."
"Yeah."
"Jackie how many times have you been healed?" I bit my lip trying to remember
"Errr about 15. More when I was a child, I'm accident prone"
"It's possible that remnants of vampire blood have remained in her system, not enough to cause a transformation to your kind but to alter the venom from Edward.
"So what are you saying? I'm a hybrid vampire."
"It's possible. Rebekah's vampire are the more dominant, you're still one of us but you have characteristics for both sides." I sighed. Could my life get any more complicated.
