You know that quote from 'The Little Prince’?” she asked. There had been perfect silence until then.
He replied quietly, “yes.”
“It is only with the heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
“I know what the quote is.”
“Yeah. Some people stop looking with their hearts.”
“I know people like that,” he said bitterly.
“Well, I'm not going to be like them. And if I have any say in it, neither will you, my friend.”
His expression remained pensive, but she could see beneath the surface that his soul was thanking her.
