She was making pancakes in the kitchen. Their kitchen. It was pure magic, the way she looked in the early Saturday morning sunshine that streamed past the lace curtain in the window above the sink.
He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and buried his face in her neck. He breathed deeply and promised himself to never forget this smell of her shampoo combined with the sizzling batter and brewing coffee. This is what a dream come true smells like.
