“You like snails, huh?” the boy asked suddenly as they chatted over dinner.
“Yeah! Snails are cute,” his sister enthused.
“I don't know. They look gross to me,” he twisted his lips in distaste.
“Because you're an idiot,” she retorted.
“Am not!”
“Are too!”
“Am not!”
“Are too!”
“Snails are nasty and creepy!”
“Are not!”
“Are too!”
“Are not!”
“You pretty sure?” the boy narrowed his eyes
“One hundred percent!”
“Alright.” He gave her an innocent smile and pushed a plate in front of her. "Have some salad.”
