"Forsaken?" I asked Isabella as we sat at the booth in the diner we were at . "Yeah it was just a forsaken job, Lyric wanted to go and Derik agreed to it if one of us stayed with and Ryne did," Isabella started.
I nodded. "There was a note in the last forsaken clothes. It was from the coven. A warning as that was just the start if we didn't listen to their negotiation terms." Isabella said looking at the cheesy and bacon tater tots that she ordered and the bacon and cheeseburger.
'Because greasy, unhealthy diner food is the place to go to talk about vampires.' 'Isabella suggested it and we are werewolves so it's fine.' I looked at my burger and fries along with my Coke in a glass bottle. Isabella had a Root Beer one as she thought the glass bottles were cool.
"Vampire rogues aren't the brightest." I said remembering the ones that targeted Alana when she just met Kadan. I looked around the retro diner we were in. Checkered floors and red and black booths and chairs. Isabella and I were in a booth. 'It's nice here though.'
"Yeah, forsaken are unstable and can turn without sort of provocation." Isabella said as she picked up another tot and ate it. "Was anyone hurt?" I asked. "Other than a forsaken who went towards Lyric and was pursued by a pissed off Derik no." Isabella said as she took a bite of burger.
Then a sip of her drink while I finished up my fries and went to my burgers. I nodded. "They made quite a move." I told Isabella who nodded. "I have lots of reason to blow them up now." Isabella said with a smirk on her face as she ate a tater tot.
"Let's see what they want first." I told her. 'They are the impatient ones, we just want this meeting. See what they want then go back to college and we'll be fine after that.' Yes college, we had that of course. Least we weren't that far from home which was good.
In case anything happened we could take a weekend out here and come deal with them if it came down to it. Honestly we had such a peaceful year after Pexhar's defeat which was nice. Now of course these vampires had to come. But we'd take care of it and go back to peace.
Sweet peace. 'Of course we should prepare for war in times of peace and things like that. Or at least that's what Nico said. And Jason would advise it as well.' 'Yes he would. I wonder what Midnight would think.' 'Midnight would agree with us.'
Midnight was Ash's twin of course. If they were born like an actual litter they'd be connected showing that they were twins. Ash was the only one that Midnight had to no problem rough housing with. He ignored most other wolves as Ash wouldn't attack him like other ones.
He'd rough house with Alex though as Alex was a young shifter so Midnight was bigger. 'Midnight plays his cards right.' Andrew had a calm wolf who could be devious reflecting Andrew's personality of pranks. Midnight also didn't mind Isabella and saw her as a friend just like how Andrew saw her.
"Your dad working on that meeting?" Isabella asked after setting down her burger. "He's working on it, we'll get it under control and of course you will attend." I told Isabella. Who nodded. We didn't mention anything about her being an immortal in public as any supernatural could be listening in.
And humans didn't care if we talked about the supernatural as they typically ignored us. 'Or thought we were crazy one of those things.' I looked at Isabella's unnatural bright nearly glowing blue eyes. There was a supernatural in here of course so she was pressing out her Satan powers with her eyes.
It's what happened when she did that. So no one expected the immortal in her with the silver swirls in her eyes. "I learned how to make bombs from common household items." Isabella mentioned with a smile. "No bombs." I told her and Isabella rolled her eyes at that.
