"I didn't bring any bombs or stakes which is good." Isabella said looking at me from her seat in my pick-up. In the bed her bike was strapped down. "Yes, but you still did threaten them." I reminded Isabella as I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel.
"Drake practically told me he'd keep my secret if I became his lab rat. So I told him what would happen if he didn't keep my secret. And I didn't blow them up." Isabella said. 'Well she has a point there, we did think she'd bring a bomb.'
That we did, but she didn't. So I'd defiantly buy her something for that. Right now we were on the interstate heading into New York City. Isabella sure did give the vampires a scare with her hounds of hell. 'If vampires could piss themselves, Drake would of.'
That he would. He had this look of terror on his face which didn't go well. It simply egged Isabella on. Sometimes I'm pretty sure Isabella feeds off of fear. "But I did better than a negotiation a year ago." Isabella said. "That you did." I said pressing the gas up to seventy-five.
Isabella put on a grin. "We should grab some take-out." Isabella said glancing at Maryse who was chewing on a rawhide bone. 'Sometimes she is just like a dog which is quite cute.' That it was. "Your not going to punch someone in the face right?" I asked with lopsided grin on my face.
"We'll go through drive-through." Isabella said looking at me and I nodded. "Yeah I'll grab something around the dorm." I told Isabella. Isabella nodded. "Do you prefer anything right now?" I asked glancing at her. 'Meat.' 'Well no duh, what do you expect me to get a salad?' Ash shrugged.
"Burger King, their cheesy tots are back and I want some cheesy tots." Isabella said looking out the window. "Ok." I told Isabella with a small smile before looking back at our luggage from Bali. Then Isabella's weapon case that she always leaves with if we're traveling.
Or if she's traveling in general for a long extended period of time. Extra ammo, back-up gun, daggers and her twin pistols that she loves. I looked over at Isabella and smiled a little. "Why are you smiling, it's weird." Isabella said her cobalt blue eyes with striking silver swirls staring into my crystal blue golden flecked ones.
"Well those vampires will be smart to listen to you and just take money, your like a can of kickass and dynamite waiting to be opened." I told Isabella. 'Our can of kickass and dynamite. That is sweet when she is half asleep typically from her sleep meds.'
Isabella was put on sleep meds to help with the insomnia she had developed. She went through a bunch of them and settled on one that helped her sleep. But it took at least thirty minutes to an hour to kick in and when it did she got very docile around me typically.
She just talked randomly about things trying to fight the sleep meds. Apparently she had a pet pig fetish that I asked her about the next morning and she said that that phrase never left her mouth. 'It is cute at times. Especially when she went on about how she is the vamp slayer.'
After the meeting. "Strangely I've never been referred to as that so now I feel accomplished." Isabella said and I smiled once more. "Now back to college." I told Isabella with a grin. "College feels so. . . mundane sometimes, honestly I can't wait to graduate." Isabella said. "Two more years."
Isabella nodded. "Then back to Greenburg and I can hunt more regularly and no longer remind myself not to kill the headmaster." Isabella said. "And sell some paintings for profit." I reminded Isabella of what she decided to do for a side hobby of income.
"Yeah." Isabella said. 'Hunting is a family business for her and it will always be her main source of income. We just helped her get a side source of income that she does in her spare time as well.' I do believe she sold one painting already to an art show.
