Back home and after some serious lovemaking, I was laying beside Owen, my head resting on his chest and my hand resting on his stomach. His fingertips trailing up and down my back in sort of a pattern. "How soon do we get married?" I asked.
"As soon as possible." He said. I raised up on my elbow looking at him.
"Do we need a big wedding?" I asked.
"I guess not. That's up to you."
"I don't see much point in having a big wedding. I don't have many friends or family. It would mainly be your side of the family." I said. "I think we should just have a tiny wedding and a reception and then go have a blast on our honeymoon. Where we could plan things and do things to help with the planning."
"Plan things?"
"I want a big family with you. We already have two boys. I want a baby girl."
"We can plan that now." He said.
"Nope. You are wrapping it until the honeymoon." I said. He reached over and grabbed another condom from the drawer.
"You're the boss." He said sliding his hand over my cheek kissing me.
I was down in the kitchen the next morning playing with the boys while they ate their breakfast. Their favorite today was the smashed peas. Owen came in and kissed my cheek. "Good morning."
"Good morning baby." He said before kissing my lips. "Morning boys." Jr. and Austin squealed with excitement seeing their daddy. "Are you hungry?"
"Starving." I said. He grabbed out eggs, bacon, and the ingredients for homemade pancakes. He grabbed out the pans and the mixing bowl. Jr. kept his eye on his daddy. "No more mommy huh? Daddy's awake so it's all daddy." Jr. started to get irritated with the lack of daddy's attention. He made a noise of irritation and being upset.
"What buddy?" Owen asked. Jr. started crying. Owen came to pick him up. "What's the matter huh? Daddy's just making breakfast for mommy." He calmed down as soon as he was being held. Austin reached for me and I picked him up. I wiped his face off with a washcloth and gave him his teething ring setting him down on the carpet with his toys.
I grabbed Jr.'s favorite toy to slobber all over and showed it to him. He reached for it and I handed it to him.
"Can we get a dog?" I asked Owen, sitting on the counter beside where he was working at.
"A dog?" He asked.
"Yeah starts off as a puppy. Gets bigger. Spelled d-o-g."
"Smartass." He said.
"Yeah but you love me. Please, please."
"I'll think about it." He said.
"You'll say yes. Besides, as a thank you, I'll do that thing that you like later." I said biting his ear.
"Mommy is teasing me. That isn't nice." What made it even better is when Jr giggled at him. "Hey man, we are supposed to be best buddies."
Two months later, Owen and I were standing at the courthouse getting married. Sarah and Tyler our witnesses along with his mom and Dad and our two boys.
I slid my arms around his neck accepting his kiss when he was told to kiss his bride. Our nine month olds clapped like everyone else. I leaned my forehead against his.
At the wedding reception, we had invited about 30 people and about 20 showed up. I was sitting beside Owen at the table at the head of the room. His arm resting around me as he watched Jr and Austin try to dance. He smiled amused. I was spacing off starring out the window. "Hey." He said kissing below my ear. "Where'd you go?" He asked quietly. I turned my head back to him.
