I was sitting in the back of the truck that I was forced into. I saw my mother just before everything went black. I wanted Owen, I needed him, I was scared and worried about my boys.

I slammed the door open and saw Zayla's mother. "Where is she?" I asked.

"Owen, you don't understand."

"Where is my wife?" I asked loudly.

"Owen please let me explain. I came by. Zayla was in the bathroom crying. I helped her up and I heard something in the kitchen. She asked me to go check on the boys. When I got back she was gone. I took the boys to Sarah and Tyler's. I thought they would be safe."

"They are. I need my wife." I said walking out slamming the door.

I heard the door open and the bright light was blinding. I stumbled back into the corner. "My God." The voice said. "Arrest that poor excuse of a human being."

"Help me!" I screamed trying to get to my feet.

"It's okay honey."

"Help!" I begged.

"Honey, we are here to help you." I was helped onto a gurney and covered with a blanket. I felt something cold on my arm followed by a poke.

It's been well over a month since I lost Zayla. I was sitting in my office planning my next move. My cell phone rang, I answered it. "This is Owen." I said.

"Owen it's Zakk. We found her." He said.

"Where? Is she alright?"

"She's been taken to St. Luke's. She's in Illinois."

"I'll be there as soon as I can."

I arrived at the hospital, I found Zayla's room and lightly knocked on the door. "Z?" I said quietly. She turned from the window and saw me.

"Owen?" She said. "Owen!" She ran to me. I caught her in a hug pressing my face into her neck. Her lips met mine roughly.

"Tell me what happened. I need to know." I said. I had her sit down, brushing my fingertips over her cheek.

"I lost the baby. I was upset. My mom came by and helped me into the bedroom. I passed out and woke up in the back of a truck."

"I'm taking you home. Dr. O'Ryan will meet us at the hospital. You'll be taken care of better. We don't know these doctors." She nodded.

"I want to go home." She said.

At the hospital back at home, Zayla was asleep. "Look, there's mommy. Be quiet she's asleep." Austin and Jr. came in with my mom and Dad. I picked up Austin and Jr. setting them beside Zayla. She woke up.

"Mama." Austin said. "Mama." They hugged her.

At home, Owen was making breakfast while I slept. I jumped waking up after my nightmare. Owen was beside me. "Hey, you okay?" He asked. I nodded. "I brought up your breakfast."  He helped me sit up.  "We found out that your mom had nothing to do with your kidnapping."  He said.  "She wants to come see you.  To make amends."

"I want to get used to having her around before I trust her being around the boys."  I said.

"I understand."  He said.  "Eat your breakfast."
