Jen's POV

*Skip to party*

It was finally party time and I was still getting ready in the back when my dad told us to go out and meet the man outside. I told Jess to go first considering she was ready and she looked beautiful in her purple dress.

I finished up and went out there with my clipboard to introduce myself to the man. I was wearing a light blue dress.

I was shocked when I went out there to see the family behind this whole dinner... Shawn's family.

"Ah and this is my daughter Jennifer, Jennifer meet the Mendes family." I was frozen just like him, but I soon snapped out of it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Mendes." I say shaking their hands. Moving on to shake a younger girls hand then Shawn's. I noticed he was looking me up and down plus biting his lip. I blushed and stood next to my dad, while Jess went out to get Noah.

"The pleasure is ours. You did an amazing job at decorating, this is more than we expected, thank you very much." I smile and nod as I begin to walk away as I see Jess struggling to figure out what food goes where.

"Please excuse me for one second." They nod as I walk away.

"Jen! Thank god! The workers are asking what order the food goes in and I have no fucking idea." I hit her arm.

"Don't say that in front of the customers, they'll think it's unprofessional. Anyways it's the rolls, butter, salad, vegetables, potatoes, and steak." I say making sure she heard me and she ran to the kitchen making sure everyone knew the order.

"Oh honey we haven't introduced you to our kids yet. This is Aaliyah," she points to the girl on her phone "and this is Shawn." I look over to see him smiling at me. I actually take a good look at him and he looks so handsome, black is definitely his color.

"Very nice to meet you both." I smile at them. My dad and Mr. Mendes stop speaking because they're gonna announce the beginning of the dinner.

"Now I'd like to thank Mr. Martinez for the brilliant looking dinner," my dad waved as we all clap "thank you Jennifer for decorating this amazing party," I wave as I look at Shawn to see him smiling at me "now let's eat!"

I order the workers to take off the tops of all the foods as people walk in. I walk around making sure everything is filled and if it's not I have to call it out.

"Okay guys Line one needs rolls, salad, and steaks. Line two needs rolls. Line three needs more butter. Thank you guys!" They all walk away getting what we need while I stand, smiling at people.

"Hot." Someone says behind me, but I already knew who it was, Shawn.

"What?" I say blushing while the workers were passing by us.

"Oh you heard me." He smiled. I was most likely very red, but he took me by surprise he had never said anything like that before.

"Are you flirting with me?" I chuckle while he just smiles at me.

"I'm sure you know the answer to that." He whispers, while putting a hand on waist. My breath hitches at his touch, what is happening?

He walks away just like that, if he wants to play that game I can play that game. After they were done with their food Mr. Mendes allowed the workers and I to stay for the party, which we did.

'Mayores' by Becky G came on, Jess and I looked at each other and got on the dance floor. There was no one dancing so why not just go and dance. We were moving our hips to the rhythm and eventually everyone joined in on the dancing. I look over at Shawn to see him clinching his jaw to which I wink at him.

After the song was over, I was heading to the bathroom because I wanted to check on my make up when I was pulled into a supply closet by... Shawn.

"You can't just do that hun." He says as he has me pinned to the wall. Although we hadn't known each other long, we definitely had a connection.

"You did the same... it's called payback." I say looking up to him smiling. He loosens up and smiles. Oh how beautiful his smile is.

"You doing anything tomorrow?"

"Let me think... nope." I laugh.

"You want to go on a date?"

"Yeah... that would be nice."

"Good," He says walking over to the door, "oh and no more dancing like that, too many guys looking at you." I blush at his comment.

The party had finally ended and we all left home.. I was still thinking about what Shawn told me.

*Skip to their date*

"So where exactly are we going?"

"I'm taking you to the Poppy Flower Reserve." He smiles and I get so excited! I told him on our first date that I always wanted to go there, but never found the chance to actually go.

We continue driving in silence until he reaches over and puts his hand on my thigh. He smiles as he continues to drive and I lay my hand on top of his. We stay like this for the next minute when he breaks the silence.

"You looked really beautiful yesterday." He said to me, which made me blush.

"Yeah I could Tell by what you told me." Remember omg what he said while I was working. He smirks. We finally make it after 15 minutes and it's more beautiful than I expected.

"Dios mio! I love this!" I take it all in smiling ear to ear, as he comes hugging me from behind. "It's so beautiful." It was literally breathtaking.

"Like me right?" I laugh. Yes Shawn just like you. "So I have this fight on Friday... I was wondering if you could come?" He seemed nervous to ask me, scared like I would reject him.

"Yeah I'll be there." I look at him and back at the flowers. We stay in the position, just looking at the beautiful flowers for a while.

Our time at the flower field consisted of talking, laughing, and just admiring the nature around us. He took me home and just like that it was another great night. Something was still on my mind that I didn't quite get.

Why was he a bad boy? I mean I've never seen him around girls like that, so it can't be because he hooks up with girls a lot. Yeah, he gives a bit of attitude when you first meet him, but once you get to know him he's actually a sweet guy.

I was getting sleepy with all this thinking. My eyes felt heavy and I fell asleep with the thought of Shawn still on my mind.
