Jen's POV

It was the end of the day and I was waiting for Noah and Jess by my car, they were taking forever. They're most likely making out, so I pull out my book Milk and Honey trying to read more of it. I was then interrupted, by Shawn.

"You know you're always reading, don't you ever get tired of it?" He says. I close my book giving him my full attention.

"How do you know I'm always reading, are you following me?" I ask laughing at the last part.

"Just answer the question." He says with a smile, not a smirk, a smile. How cute.

"Will you answer mine after?"

"Maybe." He smirks.

"Nope, I have never gotten tired of books, I love reading especially poetry."

"Good to know." He says and with that he was already getting on his motorcycle.

"Hey can I maybe get your number?" I say very nervous. I mean like I've never done this before with any guy, so I was hoping he wouldn't reject me.

"Why do you need it?" He says with a smirk. Not for what you're thinking that's for sure buddy.

"I've noticed that you hang out with no one so maybe you would want to make a friend of me. I don't bite." I laugh handing him my phone. He smirks and puts his number in. He hands it back and I notice his contact name: Shawn❤️. That's so cute he put a heart.

"You wanna hang out tonight? I have no plans." I say, but his smirk turns into a straight face.

"Can't. Busy." He says, almost like he's angry.

"Oh okay. Bye Shawn." I say getting in my car not wanting to upset him even more. With that he puts on his helmet and drives away. I hope I didn't anger him too much.

My thoughts were interrupted when Noah and Jess came in. Jess with about 5 hickeys all around her and her lipstick smudged and Noah with his hair all over the place.

"Yeah cause your mom totally loves those hickeys!" I start to laugh as she freaks out and death glares at Noah. She looks at me with worried eyes and I point to the glovebox. She opens it to find foundation and concealer, you see knowing them I had to come prepared.

"I would just like to take this time to thank my cousin Jen who just saved my ass!"

I was driving home when Noah started talking to us about these tickets he got for all three of us to go see a boxing match.

"Guys, I got these tickets from a friends for an underground boxing match. Apparently it's gonna be  undefeated versus undefeated, this is gonna be the match of a lifetime. We have to go!"  He was very excited, but I knew our moms wouldn't let us.

"Little miss goody won't go without her mom's permission." Said Jess.

"I could go if I wanted to, whether my mom liked it or not." I say knowing I'm lying.

"Oh really? Okay then let's go and we can just say we're gonna go out with Noah. You're sleeping over tonight anyway, so it's not a problem, you down?" This was my chance to finally let loose and have the time of my life, plus Shawn rejected our plans so why not?

"Alright I'm down."

"Yes! I'll see you guys tonight. Love you babe." He says to Jess as we stop in front of his house and he gives Jess a quick peck before leaving. We start driving home because we have to come back in an hour to pick up Noah. Apparently this match is an hour away.

After hours of getting stuck in traffic, arguing, and driving we finally made it to the location. It was at an abandoned arena in Santa Barbara. We entered and the fight was Gonzalez vs Mendes. Mendes? As in Shawn?
