Shawn's POV

*After the fight*

Hell yeah! I'm still undefeated, I have my girl, and amazing friends, life can't get any better. Jen said she wanted to drive tonight because she knew I was extremely tired after this fight so I didn't fight her on that.

I knew she was still mad over the whole situation with that one girl. Being completely honest, I would be pissed off and jealous too. Just the thought of someone else touching Jen makes me want to punch anything in sight.

When she stood up to her, that was the sexiest thing I've ever seen. I always loved it when girls stood up for themselves, not letting anyone step all over them.

I look over to see her focused on the road with two hands on the wheel. She had on her glasses because she wanted to make sure she could see everything.

I took this time to study her features. Her long brown hair, it was beautiful the way it was just there, covering her arms. Her full pink lips, oh how soft they are against mine. That small adorable nose, she's insecure about her nose, but she shouldn't be. Her tan skin, she didn't even have to be out in the sun to get it to that beautiful color.

Wow what's happening?

I've never looked at a girl like that. Hell I've never even noticed a girl since I moved here, it's always been about family, boxing, and school.

She interrupts my thoughts by looking over and giggling.

"I've been trying to get your attention, guess you're deep in your thoughts." My thoughts are always about you.

"You know I'm just tired." I tried to brush it off, but she just looks over and smiled like she didn't buy it.

"Then take a nap, we won't be there for a while."

Truth is I didn't want to take a nap, I wanted to talk with her. Her hopes, dreams, future, family basically everything we haven't exactly talked about with.

"Actually I wanted to get to know you more, on a deeper level than favorite colors."

"Okay, ask all that you want to know." She had nothing to hide and she trusted me. I wanted to know her for her, who she actually is.

"So what do you want to be when you grow up?" It's not much, but it's a start.

"A pediatrician." She instantly answers.

"Wow okay you already know, but why?"

"I've always loved kids, always. I want to make sure kids are healthy."

"That can't be it. There has to be something else to it. You know you can trust me darling." I put my hand on her thigh. She takes a deep breath and speaks again.

"Growing up, we didn't have doctors in our town. If you were sick, you better hope you had some over the counter medicine that worked because there was nothing else. It made me feel hopeless at a young age, knowing that no one was around to help us. Many of my friends died from illnesses that are easily treated here. I just want kids to know that I'm here to give them what I couldn't have."

I just looked at her with sympathy in my eyes knowing that she went through the worst, yet she's so happy with her life. She's amazing and beautiful and happy with all that she has.

"I-I-I didn't know you went through that, I'm sorry." I put her hair aside to see her face, not a tear in sight meanwhile I'm about ready to sob.

"It's okay. I'm glad this happened to me, it made me a better person and it made me who I am. Sometimes we have to go through hell to be the best we can be." Her beautiful soul makes my heart melt.

"Why are you so beautiful?" She laughs.

"Anymore questions?"

"No I think that's enough, for now."

"Actually I want to ask you something."

"Okay go ahead."

"Why didn't you tell me your family is rich and famous?" Fuck.

"It didn't come up." I look away.

"Tell me the truth Shawn."

"Last time I told a girl that my parents were rich and famous, she used me. She only ever liked the money and when she found out that my parents cut me off she broke up with me. She told me her real intentions when she first started talking to me. I swear it isn't anything against you bu-"

"Shawn there's no need to explain to me. I would be scared to tell girls about my parents if that happened to me. Have you told any other girls about your parents?"

"You're the only girl I've been with since I moved so no, no other girl knows."

She smiles and blushes.

"Aw I'm special."

"Yes you are darling. Truly one of a kind darling."

She blushes. Every single thing that I've told her is true. Never have I ever found someone as beautiful and genuine like her. Girls usually throw themselves at me, but her? She doesn't beg or chase a guy. She stays true to herself and who she is, never changing for a random guy.

"Would you completely change yourself for me?" She looks at me confused.

"Look you may be handsome, but not enough for me to change. There's no way in hell that anyone come of change me. You either like me for me or you can go fuck yourself."

"Feisty. I like it."

"Oh shut up." She laughs.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
