Chapter 3

"That door is amazing," said Herman when he saw the door me and Casey fixed up and bought. "Dawson you and Casey stand in front of the door, so we can get a photo" we did as told. He put his arm around my waist and I almost lost my balance so I had to put my hand his chest to keep from falling. We smiled as they took the picture. Tonight was the opening night of Molly's and I was working. I told Herman I would work most of the shifts just for the fun of it. I was serving drinks when Herman made a toast. "Okay everyone welcome to our bar and thank you for coming this means a lot to us. Thank you to Dawson and Casey who fixed this place up. To our friends, and Molly's". Everyone toasted and as I was getting Shay a beer Casey came up and gave me his signature smile. "Can I help you" I asked "Just admiring someone doing hard work on a night off" he smiled. This brown haired girl showed up behind him and said "Hey babe" "Hallie what are you doing" he asked sounding confused. I just left them to talk and went over to Otis to talk with him and Shay was voice recording their whole conversation. About five minutes later Hallie left looking more angry than ever. 

-FOUR HOURS LATER- 

Everyone besides Shay had left and I was starting to clean up. "So Dawson hear this cause you might want to" "What's up Shay" "here is what Casey and Hallie were talking about". I walked in back to put stuff away when she started playing the recording. 

Matt:Hallie what do you want

Hallie:Well your my boyfriend

Matt:I am not your boyfriend we broke up

Hallie: Well I want you back

Matt: Well I am in love with someone else

Hallie: Who? Is it that girl you were talking to?

Matt: None of your business now go away Hallie

Hallie: You love me and you know it

"So you think he likes you" asked Shay "we barely know each other". "So he said he loves another girl and he looks at you like you are the only thing in the world" "dating my Lieutenant is against the rules" "to bad night". She walked out I was cleaning up for another hour. When I walked out to my car I tried turning the engine it wouldn't start I tried for another hour it wouldn't start so I called shay "Hello?" a tired shay asked "My SUV won't start" "Okay don't worry I will be there soon". I waited on the steps until a truck pulled up I at first thought it was Shay, but it was Casey. "Hey" "your ride home is here" "I thought Shay was picking me up" "well she called me" "oh okay" "well hop in and give me directions". I hoped n his truck and told him where to turn and go. When we arrived at my house he put the car in park. Then he looked at me and smiled "tomorrow I will look at your car" "oh it's okay I can just get a different one this isn't the first time" "well I will save you money" he smiled that smile again. "Thank you for the ride home" I said with a smile "no problem" he said I opened the door and he kissed my cheek as I hoped out and I smiled than closed the door and walked into my house. He kissed me on the cheek I can't believe it. 

-NEXT DAY AT MOLLY'S 7:00AM-

I was at Molly's early for today, because I told Herman I would work again tonight for him so he could be with his kids. The door opened, and Antonio walked in "hey big bro" I said as I hugged him. "Hey I heard you know own and work at a bar" "part owner thank you". Then Casey walked in with a confused look on his face when he saw me hugging another guy "Casey this is my brother Antonio, Antonio this is Casey he is my Lieutenant." they shook hands when he heard Casey heard Antonio was my brother he looked so relieved. "Well sis I will leave you to what you were doing I have to get to work I start in Intelligence today" "good luck". He walked and Matt sat on the bar stool "I didn't know you had a brother" he said "yup not a lot of people know the only ones who know are Herman, Shay, and Chief Connors" "Chief Connors I haven't heard his name in years" "yeah he is my dad" "wait but your name is Gabby Dawson?" "yeah when I was 6 I was in a car accident, my parents where killed and Antonio was in Texas so Sam Connors raised me, and I always thought of him as my dad" "wow" he was looking at me like I was the most interesting thing in the world. "So your SUV should work for a bit longer" "thanks for fixing it". I said he was smiling and I was smiling. "Wanna a drink on the house" "sure". I got him his beer, and hat Hallie girl walked in. "Hey you are you hitting on my man" "what?" "you and Matt why you hitting on my boyfriend" "I am not hitting on him" "than why did he give you a ride home last night" "because my car broke down and Shay sent him". "Hallie enough" Casey said "Casey quiet, now girl listen I see you near Casey again I will hurt you" "I wouldn't make threats if I were you" Casey said "Why??" she asked him "because her brother is a cop in intelligence working under Voight". "Casey stay away from her" Hallie said "I am not dating you we broke up. And I will never date you again, don't ever tell me who I can and can not talk to, and never ever threaten Dawson". He was completely red to the point where you think he created a different shade of red. "You okay" he asked me when she walked out "yeah I am fine" I said. "Sorry that you had to deal with that" "it is no problem really" I said. We sat there talking for hours upon hours upon hours. It was closing time and only a few people cam in. It was closing time when Casey was to drunk to drive home. I drove him to his place "your really pretty" I said in a drunk voice I helped him inside and up to bed. He just passed out when he landed on the bed. I left and walked back to Molly's. When I got there I went in to finish cleaning up and I must have fallen asleep there. I woke up the next morning to my alarms so I locked up again, and changed at the station I was an hour early so I decided start doing inventory, and cleaning the compartments of 81. The fist shift didn't care they just thought it was funny how instead of relaxing I was working. It was about time for everyone to show up and Casey walked up to me. "So how did I get home last night" "I drove you to your place got you inside, and went back to the bar" "Okay I am so sorry you had to deal with the drunk me" "it was no problem really, and we don't have to clean the truck today I already did that" "wow" "yeah I got here an hour early". He smiled at me when. Right after roll call, and we went to fill up the rig.
