Chapter 24

Kelly POV:

After the call from Gabby I called Chief. I was worried about Gabby she is like a sister to me.

Phone Call

Chief: Hello?

Kelly: Chief Dawson won't be in for work

Chief: Why? What's going on?

Kelly: Miscarriage compilcations

Chief: Okay I will let the house know. Does Casey?

Kelly: No one can get a hold of him so I am going to find him. 

Chief: Okay I will be at the hospital in 20.

End 

Time to find Matt where ever he is. I got in my car and drove to the construction site he was working at. His truck wasn't there, but I went in anyways and found his phone. Why did he leave his phone, but then I saw the messages. From Hallie the girl he was once engaged too. 

Hallie: Come over Matt 

Matt: Okay

He was cheating on Dawson. How could he do that to her. She forgave him after all he did to her. How could he cheat on her like this he has three kids and he is will to throw that all away. He is throwing away his marriage, his wife for what a girl who never really loved him he is an idiot. I am not going to tell him about Gabby he can just find out. I go to pick up the kids from their friends house and drive them home. 

I get to the house where Caleb and Andy are staying. When I get them in the car I go get Alex. We then go to the hospital. I am sitting in the waiting room wanting to hear how Gabby is. About three hours later the doctor comes out and says "Family of Gabby Dawson". We all stood "She will be okay". A sigh of relief comes through me. The girl I think of as my sister will be okay the kids had a look of relief on my face. It was six in the morning and it seems he is still out with the girl he thinks loved him but she never did. 

Gabby POV:

I woke up to Kelly and the kids around me. "Did you find him" "no I am so sorry Gabby he left his phone at the site I couldn't find him". I nodded my head knowing that Matt was in the wind scared me he needs to be around for the kids. Once Kelly left he took the kids with him, so I sat there and called Matt's phone. No answer I was starting to get worried, because the kids need him hereto be here with them. But he isn't and I don't know where he is, why he left his phone at the site. I kept thinking about the questions running through my head. That's when my phone started ringing I looked down and saw Matt's face. I quickly pressed the green phone icon. 

Phone Call

Matt: Hey Gabby I am on my way home

Gabby: I am not at home where have you been

Matt: Where are you?

Gabby: Where have you been?

Matt: one of my tools stopped working so I had to grab my other tool

Gabby: I am in the hospital

Matt: Why what happened

Gabby: Miscarriage after effects the kids are with Kelly

Matt: Okay I will go pick up the kids and be right over to the hospital soon

End

Kelly POV:

I got a text from Gabby saying Matt was coming to pick up the kids. I can't believe he somehow got her to think he is a good man. He isn't a good man he cheated on her and she will know, and he will know that I know. Once Matt got here I made sure the kids were in the car before talking to him. Once the kids where in the car I just started talking as he was walking out the door. "Why are you cheating on your wife?" he turned around "what?" "you are cheating on Gabby with Hallie" I said anger in my voice. "How did you find out" "I went to find you and saw the texts on your phone" "don't tell Gabby" he said in a stern voice. "She deserves to know her husband the father of her kids is a horrible person" "Kelly...." "Matt she is like a sister to me! And you cheated on her even though you know somehow she will find out and your family will be ruined" "don't tell her" he said again. "I am going to" "I will tell her Kelly" he said then left. If he doesn't tell her I will. 

Matt POV

Kelly now knew I have been cheating on my wife, but what he doesn't now is I also got Hallie pregnant so I am a father to her kid as well. Gabby will find out, but I wont tell her for a long time. She doesn't need to know what is going on. She doesn't need to know that it happened because it will never happen again. I get to the hospital and ask the nurse at the desk for Gabby Dawson's room she tells me room number 105. I walk up and the stairs, and go to Gabby. Once I see her I run to her kiss her forehead and just sit their holding her hand. We just sit no one talks. Soon she fell asleep and I think about what Kelly said. He said I didn't lover her and I remember he always siad Hallie never loved me and that might have been true. But I love Gabby, and our family. If she finds out I may lose her and the kids for good. I will not be telling Gabby I love our family, and I don't want to be the reason why it is torn apart. I think to myself what if Kelly tells her that I cheated. I mean he knows and she might believe him, but she might not.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Gabby POV

I am finally back at work after everything. I am happy to be back on squad after being of for over a month. I missed  work, and I missed saving people. As I walked in Herman ran up to me and hugged me saying "you're back kiddo". I was happy to be back at work with my friends doing the job I love. I decided to make it announced I am not broken. "Okay guys I am good and I am back and I am also very happy to knock anyone's teeth out if they treat me like a snow flake". They all laughed and Mouch said "yup she's back to normal" that comment made me laugh. He knew me very well, and over the time I was out I was not okay, but now I am fine. But it just hit me how well they know me. But I could tell something was up between Kelly and Matt. I am going to find out what.
