Chapter 15- The Little Girl
Zayn's POV.
Lauren was gone for a few hours now and it is 4pm now. Neither Jake nor Austin called me today so I didn't wanted to get involved with the gang since I wanted to leave it. It is better if I don't go there again. If I leave the house too often my mom will wonder where I am and since she is a curious person, she will go after it more than a normal adult would.
Time ticks and ticks as I started to get bored. I sighed out loud as I decided to get up and start on my essay since Lauren also started it. I go up to my room and open my school book trying to find the piece of paper that I wrote on about the essay. Correction that Austin wrote for me because I got late to that class that day.
The day I started talking to Lauren.
I finally found the ripped off piece of paper that was folded many times. I open it up and take a seat behind my desk. I grab a pen and an empty piece of paper.

And just now I noticed that I barely knew Lauren. The things I knew where that she got abused by her dad, but she never told me why. She told me that she doesn't have pets, but that she loves animals, that she can sing and play guitar and that her favourite colours are green and red.
I know that she can be funny at times when she joked about me. I made her laugh a few times and the sound of her laugh is so real and genuine while those girls from school had those fake and dump laughs. They'd laugh so loud to have the whole town pay attention to them, they were literally desperate for attention, while Lauren never really was. I don't know why she was the way she is. She is kind and funny, but doesn't have any friends at school while bitches at school have so many friends and call themselves popular, well those friends are fake but they still have them. Lauren always stayed out of the spotlight and I never noticed her before.
Just a week before we got paired I noticed her. She was having problems with walking. She held her hip tight with both hands and held in the pain and shut her eyes closed for a good few minutes. The hallway was empty and no one saw it and I think that she didn't notice me watching from around the corner.
Ever since then I started watching her, and it got worse and she kept all the pain in like she didn't wanted the world to see that she was hurt.
Was she afraid to?
Many more questions that I never thought of popped inside of my head, and my thoughts had take a good amount of time from me so I decided to check if she already got home.
She knows nothing about me, only about the gang. She must haven't gotten that far with the essay.
Lauren's POV.
When I returned home the ground was already covered in white, but it wasn't much yet. I quickly got to my room with the gifts without anyone seeing me. I took of my coat and threw it on my bed as I pushed the gifts underneath my bed. I placed my guitar in the corner again and breathed out when I was done hiding the gifts. Since I told Patricia to study today I decided to do that for a while. I grabbed my notebook again and started to think, but nothing came from it.
I know nothing about Zayn.
I trusted him because he left me no choice and he was scaring me when he shouted for me to answer. It made me feel like he was just curious and would leave me after. That he would tell everyone after he knew and that he would make fun of me, but he never did. Instead he made me sleep in their house and it has been almost two weeks since I am here.
