Chapter 26- Watch Out For Danger.
Zayn's POV
"Why can't he just be easy about this?" I shout at my two friends.
"That's because he is Jack and that is just how he is." Austin says annoyed.
"Does he even gain something from us being in the gang? We do nothing for him anymore anyway." Jake reasons. He is sat comfortable on a bench in the park nearby the garage that we are supposed to be in just a few minutes.
"I never thought of that." Austin says frowning.
"You never think of something." Jake tells him honestly.
"True." Austin says nodding.
I sometimes don't even understand him, nor his brains.
"What do you think Zayn?" Jake asks.
"I think he is up to something, but he is making it wait a little too long. He has earned a lot of money with us, but I'm not sure what he is up to. I mean we quit racing and stuff." I said.
Jack wasn't stupid, in fact he was smart and if it is about money he will use every second he has on thinking of a plan to earn money. Even if he would die tomorrow, he would just want more. He already has a lot, from what I heard he lived with his dad in a mansion. I don't know what his dad does, it could be drugs or whatever and I had to help him once with that, which I am not proud of. I once had distracted the cops, so he wouldn't get caught. I did get money in return for that, but still I am not proud of it and it probably is a crime. Just like earning illegal money by street racing on your bike.
And now I finally realised how bad it is and I need to get out of this mess, before it is too late.
"How much did he actually earn from our races? I mean the races weren't even that hard. Those old man, are a little too old to race against teens you know." Austin wonders.
"Jack wouldn't waste his time if he wouldn't earn something from it." I tell him.
"Time is worth more than money is." Jake says as the wise one out of us.
"That's deep." Austin says nodding his head.
"What's deep?" Harry says as he jogs from around the corner towards us.
And no other words were needed to make us laugh hard enough that people from the North-pole could hear us.
"So what is Jack telling his minions?" I ask changing the subject.
"I didn't go to the garage yet, but I did check around if people were eavesdropping. And no one was, so I came by to tell about the last meeting." He says making us turn to him and pay 100 percent attention. The three of us had skipped the last meeting because Jake had to do his musical thing. Over the past few weeks I also started talking more to Harry since he wanted to get out of the gang just like Jake, Austin and me.
"Since you weren't there and you are the one that get's angry the fastest, Jack is after you." Harry explains pointing at me.
"He said that you did something illegal other than street racing for illegal money, and he has proof. Not just that, he knows your soft point and then he showed two pictures. One of the proof and one of your weakness." He says a little unsure.
