Chapter 28- Hot in Red

Two weeks later...

Lauren's POV.

"Lauren, look we know what we did was bad." Liam repeated.

After the party, he couldn't forget about how I found out about the bet. I didn't really care, at that party I almost died. I didn't had time to think about the stupid bet. All I thought about was Zayn, and how he was there saving me again.

"Not we, you. I had nothing to do with it! In fact, I warned her. So keep me out of it." Niall says.

"Guys, I'm over it. We are having our play in just a few minutes and I don't want you to do your best." I tell them.

"Lauren is right, we have to win." Jack says.

"This scholarship means a lot to me." I say.

"That's why I practised more than you told me to. We're gonna win." Liam says giving me his sweet and guilty smile.

"That's the spirit." I tell him joking.

I look in the mirror for the last time to check up on my make-up and hair before I exit with the three boys walking behind me.

And if you were wondering, we had no time to make up some script. Liam was either avoiding me or apologising to me and Jake had to skip school a few days with Austin and Zayn. After the party they all told the cops, about Jack and how they wanted to leave but couldn't. They did get punished, taking part in a gang and earning illegal money by street-racing. They had to fill a good amount of hours with community service.

So we aren't really doing a play, but we are going to sing. It is like high school musical. We have a background and the stage is going to look like a classroom and we are going to put everything aside and take over and sing. Easy like that.

Our names are announced and our act is introduced, so we make out way to our places and when everyone is ready Niall starts with his guitar.

"Three, two, one.." Niall says before his fingers do the magic on his guitar, Liam who learned to play the piano when he was younger stars playing as well. Jake stands ready for his part later in the song while I start with mine,

Pleased with how well they did, I continue my part.
