Monday
I was talking to Gabrielle without ever bringing up my sudden outburst at Beckett or with his friend, Emily.
"Hey so I've been wanting to tell you this for a while, but I just wanted to make sure." I grew suspicious of what Gabby has been secretly hiding from me.
"Okay, what is it?"
"I think I have a crush on someone." I was utterly shocked.
"Oh my gosh, no way. Who is it?"
"I think I like Josh." I hardly believed her.
"Gabby, are you serious? He's such a player."
"No he is not. It's called experimenting. He's just testing out a bunch of girls until he finds the right one, and that's me.
I rolled my eyes, "You're delusional."
"Whatever, say what you want. I'm going to ask him out."
"Ha! No you're not," and right away she replied.
"Yeah, you're right, no I won't," we both started laughing as we were walking to our next class.
Lunch Period
I have no idea why, but I'm always late to lunch. I just came out of chemistry and was embarking on the long trip to my locker. The hallways were empty by now because everyone was already in the cafeteria.
As I was walking, I saw Beckett on the other side of the corridor. I kept my head down, but I could feel his stares circling around me. As we got closer, my heart raced faster and faster. The moment we passed each other, I exhaled a huge sigh of relief. Then, out of no where, he grabbed my wrist and started to pull me somewhere. Unfortunately, all my books fell along with my quick second of relief.
We soon quickly turned to a corner, and he violently threw me against a wall.
"Wha-"
I was cut off by the sudden impact of his lips on mine. After a moment, he pulled away and said:
"I hate you," and with that, he took a glance into my eyes and walked away.
"Is he for real now?!" I slightly screamed to myself so he wouldn't hear. "Why would he even think to do something like that?! Is he playing with me?! Ugh!" I was utterly confused at this point, but not stupid. Nobody is going to no about this. Absolutely nobody. Unfortunately, that's Gabby included. I loved her, but I wasn't going to take any chances.
I walked back to the hallway and completely forgot about my spilled book... until I nearly fell on one of them. I picked them up and went to my locker to put them away and get me lunch.
"Hey, Stranger. Where were you?" Gabby asked as soon as I sat down.
"Sorry, I was talking to one of my teachers for a second."
"Oh, it's cool. So how's your week going?"
"Boring, not much happened." She looked at me with disbelief and a small smirk.
"Are you sure?" I was about to die. Did she already know?
"Um yes?" I said slightly frightened.
She laughed, "I'm just kidding, me neither." Holy crap that was a close one.
When the bell ran, I went to my locker, and then I realized I had math next. I knew I would feel awkward the entire time.
*Oh look, there he is,* I thought to myself. I was really nervous to sit next to him. However, when I somehow managed to put my butt into that seat, I looked over at him to see he was paying no attention to me. Was I relieved? Was I mad? Was I suspicious? Honestly, I had no idea; I guess a weird mixture of all of them would describe me at this moment best.
1 Hour Later
*Oh good, the bell rang. I could finally get out of this awkward position.* I walked out across the hall to go to Chinese. I sat down in my chair and began to take out my appropriate book and...Aw crap!
