Ever since she saw what she saw in the kitchen Natasha had been keeping a closer eye on Steve and (y/n). She started to notice the little gestures between the two. Like how (y/n) would kiss Bucky but hold Steve's hand underneath the table, when she hugged Bucky she'd look over his shoulder to Steve, when Bucky wasn't in the room she basically at the hip with Steve.

Just seeing them together brought rage to Natasha rage that only Clint seemed to notice. He asked her about it but she wouldn't say.

Natasha was conflicted with herself, was she suppose to tell Bucky about it or confront Steve and (y/n)?

She watched as Bucky kissed (y/n) at the door and whisper how much he loved her. He deserved so much better than her.

Natasha followed Bucky as he left the room to the gym. "Hey, Bucky wait up"

"what's up Nat" Bucky stopped in his tracks to see what the redhead spy wanted. He had noticed her different behavior lately but figure if she needed help she goes to Clint.

"I wanted to talk to you"

"about?"

"Do you remember anything about me and you ... and way back then?"

"The red room? I remember most of it. I remember us... what about it ?"

Natasha leaned forward placing a hand on his chest licking her lips she looked up at him " why didn't we-"

"Natasha, what are you doing ?" he pulled her hands off of his chest

"why didn't we started again? you remember right so we could start again just like before"

The others were not aware but Bucky and Natasha did have some sort of romantic relationship in the red room. Natasha tried to forget about the red room and thought Bucky was on the other side so she never mentioned it and tried to forget. Bucky was wiped he completely forgot about it. Honestly, Bucky did believe the memories was significant enough to dwell on. A few months of secret romances with one wasn't as much as a secret romance for decades with two.

"I love (y/n)" and Steve he said "she is my present you are my past leave it at that" Bucky said throwing her hands down and away from him. Natasha scoffed

"you know sometimes the present can hurt more than the past". And with that, she walked away.

Bucky couldn't help but think about what Natasha said for a moment. Did she know something he didn't? She was obviously hiding something, but what?

Natasha knew everything about everybody and that sort of scared... everybody especially (y/n) and Steve they were scared of their relationship coming out and how everyone would react to it. Bucky believes everyone would take it well and wouldn't care much about the relationship as long as they were happy they would accept it.

"Hey Buck you coming"

"Yeah, Stevie I'm coming"

(y/n) was in the kitchen she had just finished making Bruce and Tony's lunch and was just about to leave it in there and go back to work when Natasha entered the kitchen. (y/n) gave her a wave and was going to walk away when she stopped her grabbing her forearm Natasha pulled her back in the kitchen and forced her up against the wall.

"what game are you playing out?" Natasha said real low and in her face.

"I don't understand"

"You're with Bucky so why are you messing around behind his back with Steve his best friend?" (y/n)'s reaction was more than enough for Natasha. She thought (y/n) was aware of her wrongs and was reacting to being caught. But nope (y/n) was reacting to the relationship being found out and to her thinking it was cheating.
