Even after their talk it took them months to heal and even then there were still moments when (y/n)'s hadn ghosted over her stomach, or Steve thought of the words Dr. Tsunade said, or Bucky thought of his inability due to Hydra. But they were recovering.

In the mean time they had other things to worry about and focus on. Tony had told everybody else about moving out of the compound. Tony was remodeling a military base up state to be the new Avenger compound. The plan was not only to move the Avengers into the Compound but bringing in shield as well combining both of the originations further by providing a place to train, work and a place to stay if necessary. The place was going to be really big and the Roger-Barnes family wasn't going to live in it. Of course Tony still planned to make a room for them just incase but they were already looking for a house.

(y/n) did not like this house and she said that as soon as they pulled up but Steve had convinced her to give it a try as their new realtor Sarah was trying her best and doing better than their last realtor. Her name was Heather Dawson and she was more focused on looking good and flirting with Bucky than really doing her job and showing them something that could be their home. She was fired after three houses. Fortunately, Sarah was happily married to her beautiful wife and had a son and daughter so they weren't really worried.

"You don't like it" Sarah said as she came up behind (Y/n) Steve and Bucky were off somewhere else in the house. (y/n) looked a bit shocked and guilty " Your face gave you away. Don't worry I wasn't expecting you to love this house. I could see as a whole it wasn't your taste."

"Then why bring us here?"

"This way my darling to the master bed room."

"I'm married"

"So am I" she lead her to the master bed room " You're going to love this" As she opened the door (Y/n) immediately squealed as she saw the doors opened to the large balcony Sarah laughed as (y/n) ran out.

"The view is shit but the balcony is beautiful." Sarah said as she walked up and joined (Y/n) leaning on the rail as she continued to be amazed over the balcony. " Tell me (Y/n) what exactly are you looking for?"

"...Honestly I don't know. I'm looking for something that feels good and homey and open but also safe. I want something that will take me away from day stress of super work. I want a place to start a family." she looked on at the shitty view which this balcony proved her. " I always dreamed about a picket white fence and the apple pie life. "

"Mrs. Roger-Barnes I'll do everything in my power to find and make your dream home. You'll get that picket white fence." Hooking her arm with (y/n) she lead her back in the house. "Now lets go find your husbands. I have a few more houses to show."

The other houses weren't any good but it did help you find more of what she wanted. Taking all that thruple had told her Sarah promised to do her best to find them a home or at least something they could improve on.

"Do you really think she'll find something for us?" (Y/n) ask as she lays in bed drying and brushing Bucky's hair as he laid his head in her lap.

"I don't know. If she doesn't find us a house I'm sure she can find us some land near the compound and we can just build our dream home. " Steve said laying in bed next to them sketching. He looked up at (y/n) who was now braiding Bucky's hair. He could clearly see the worry on her face. "What's wrong, sweetheart?"

"I'm just thinking."

"About" Bucky asked

"Maybe not finding a house is a sign."

"a sign?"

"Maybe we're moving to fast, maybe we shouldn't be looking for a home so quickly especially after what happened. Maybe we should wait a little while longer."

"...second thoughts?"

"no, no, no, no second thoughts. Just maybe we're doing this wrong."

"We are definitely doing this wrong" Bucky laughed " We're suppose to move in then get married. I thought we established that this relationship is very backwards and slow"

"If you want to stop looking for houses we can. We'll put it on hold and move in to the compound. Nothing wrong with that" Steve said kissing her forehead.

"I'm just scared we won't find anything and spend forever looking. "

"Don't worry about it , love, we'll find something. We'll find a home to start our future."

"And if we don't find one we'll do like he said and build one." Bucky said giving Steve a kiss and telling him he was smart. "This will all work out I promise."
