Arnav helped Payal to stand up and saw Khushi crying, hiding in her brother's chest.

He went towards Akash's parents, Shashi and Garima and joined his palms. Not that he hasn't done it earlier. He has always done it as a Son-in-law.

But today, he is not only a son-in-law but a woman's brother who has been betrayed in the name of marriage. A woman who loves their son as much as her family.

Shashi held Arnav's hands in between his and hugged him lightly. A gesture which warmed his heart, a gesture he felt after so long. The fatherly hug made his eyes moist but a strong headed person won't shed tears when each and every person of the family is vulnerable.

All these years, he had learnt well to confine his pain within himself.

Perks of his position:-

No, he can't be weak.

No, he can't cry.

No, he can't show his love so openly.

No, forget he has feelings.

No, he has learn to be ruthless.

Yes, be a massacre and not a human.

He followed each and every bit of it long. Now, its enough. This robotic, inhumane treatment with himself is enough.

He wants to feel, he wants to love, he wants to laugh, he wants to cry.

Yes, he wants to surrender himself, this time not to his throne but to family.

Yes, he wants to live.

He looked at his mother and yes, she saw pride in her eyes. Her eyes, those feelings in it were the replica of certain chocolate orbs which he, himself had inherited. The warmth in the smile with a teary eyed old woman resembled the one whose lips knew to smirk before the same warm smile, which again he, himself has inherited.

Yes, he saw his father in his mother today.

Yes, after that he felt like running into his mother's arms and cry like the little Arnav.

Alas, he can't!

No, not because it would hurt his manliness but because he had promised his ill father to function as a rock and pillar both at the same time for the people, for his business, for his family.

Yes, he was indeed selfish but behind that selfish person, nobody saw that selfless king, that selfless son, that selfless Son-in-law, that selfless brother, that selfless friend, that selfless husband.

Every person has flaws and so had he.

Everyone saw his ruthlessness, his strictness but no body felt those pain, no body saw those unhealed scars which he beared all alone, the moment his father's guidance and hands left him.

No body saw him, just him, just Arnav.

Yes, agreed, he did a sin by rejecting Khushi.

Yes, agreed he did more than a sin by trying to force himself on his unannounced, rejected wife.

But, no body saw the punishments, the wounds he gave to himself in return.

Still, he is ready to pay more for it but now not on the cost of his family's happiness, not on the cost of his separation from his wife.
