Akash looked at Payal who gave him a shy smile.
He was badly hurt and disappointed after his regular approach and her continuous denial after he learnt about the ugly truth of her marriage from Khushi.
He knew she was doing this for him only, as she thinks that she isn't the one for him but only if she knew that they are bounded by the destiny, by the almighty for forever. They have to be together, if their love wasn't true and meant to be complete than she would not have faced a broken marriage.
It was all planned by destiny it was a test of hardships to analyse the depth of their love and they did pass in it.
He had stopped persuading her leaving ot completely on fate abd that was exactly the day when Arnav came to his home with the alliance.
Only he knew how he controlled that tears in front of all. Who says a man doesnt or can't cry? Who said that they are weak if they cry?
They are indeed stupid.
If a person cries, be it a man or woman, it shows that they are alive, the feelings are genuine and humanity resides within them but it would have been quite embarrassing to cry on having his lady love with him and he was sure the family would leave no stone unturned to tease him.
Indeed, he is happy, he is blissed but not forgiving. He isn't going to forgive Payal this soon. She had hurted him enough and its time for a payback. Although, it won't include even a moment of pain or tears for her, he would make sure, she learns her lessons forever.
Making a poker face again much to Payal's disappointment, he started concentrating on what the priest was saying and the engagement ceremony proceeded like that.
Khushi shifted a bit to her left as Arnav was on her right side and with each passing second was inching closer to her. She glared him angrily when she found her stuck between Anjali and him in the process of shifting and he gave a wolfish smile.
Stomping her heels on his shoes and making him shriek, she ran towards Aarav showing her tongue to him while he could just admire her forgetting his bruised feet.
Ohh! His wifey has not even an idea what her hubby has in store for her this evening.
Arnav and Khushi stood beside their respective siblings when it was time for the ring exchange ceremony.
NK was busy in his favourite hobby of photography while Anjali and Lavanya were busy admiring one more happily ever after. Aman and Tanya seemed to rejoicing their own moments and the elders had a satisfied smile.
The rings were finally exchanged admist of the well-wishers and family, the hooting the teases, the shy smiles, the blushes and the hope and then came the congratulating procedure.
Giving them their time, Arnav and Khushi stepped down together.
Arnav had held her hand in between his, the moment they stepped down and everyone's concentration was on the newly engaged couple.
Khushi twisted her hand in his hold to free but instead found it tightening more. Feeling agitated, she glared him to which he gave him that innocent smile which could have even that Hitler's heart. Hitler's heart but not Khushi's because next instant she pinched him sharping, almost piercing her nails in his arm and as soon as he jerked a little and tried to sooth his wifey's given pain, she got free and ran quickly.
But she didn't run alone, she ran with his hopes, with his happiness, with his dreams, with his wishes and with his breaths which were only stuck in her.
Arnav frowned seeing her wiping her tears roughly and running. He couldn't understand why is she being this hard lately and why this sudden coldness, sudden tears.
It created an unknown fear within him but he didn't give in to that, instead he perked up his preparations and with a Breathtaking smile went towards the another stage.
Its time for action.
Its time for the most awaited confession.
Its time to win her back.
If only he knew, its time, for his dreams to be shattered.
Gaining every guest's attention formally, he firstly congratulated his sister and brother-in-law wishing them a great future with loads of happiness together. His genuine feelings was easily conveyed by hus never-pausing smile, his truthful voice and his depthful words.
Akash and Payal could not have been more happy than this for getting showered with Arnav's immense and selfless love.
Followed by it, he announced Anjali and Aarav as the new members of his family. Anjali was more than obliged and emotional while little Aarav, not caring about his mamu's ruthless image had jumped into his arms, almost giving the people a moment to remember their whole life with the cold, ruthless king laughing fully and kissing the little nephew in his arms.
His family couldn't have been more thankful for him being their guardian. He has filled-in perfectly in every void which had created after his father's demise.
Once a passionate, selfish yet responsible king and head of the family is now the more passionate but completely selfless guardian of the house. A man whom everyone can rely upon.
A person who knew to fill every life with happiness since always but who had a void inside since he insulted his, her, their love.
Now, at this point of time, when his family is happy, sated, satisfied. Things have once again fallen in its place. He is hopeful, hopeful to erase that emptiness, hope to fill that void once and for all, and hopeful to win his love, his life back.
With that hope and a never-seen nervous yet confident, poker yet shy, guilty but proud smile and voice, he grabbed everyone's attention again but before he could announce the truth which had his life, an attendant politely intervened and replacing his smile and frown handed him a plain white paper, a paper which would crumble his life into pieces just like it would be crumbled after the matter it contains has been read.
