Wednesday

I'm blowdrying my (h/l) (h/c) right now, waiting for the second William would call me down to meet Tom fucking Hiddleston.

Butterflies were blowing up in my stomach. It felt like the butterflies had machine guns and were going to war. I felt like I was going insane. It felt like I was going on some sort of first date, trying to look my best, act my best, be my best, but it's not. He's coming over to meet me and rehearse lines. That's all. But still.. this is Tom Hiddleston we're talking about. The Loki Lafeyson.

I honestly had a small fangirl crush on Loki, so I'm waiting to see if I screw things up like I did with Tom the first time I met or talked about him and how much I loved Draco.
I turned off my blowdryer, getting up and walking to my full length mirror, looking at my reflection. Double checking everything to make sure I looked perfect.

(Sorry about the horrible cropping job. I got lazy halfway through and said "fuck it, they get the picture." You guys should be used to it by now, honestly.)

I smiled at myself for the first time in forever, actually feeling sort of pretty. I finally placed in some gold hoop earrings, giving the look a little more classic flare.

As soon as I did a literal spin, gaining more confidence, I heard the doorbell ring. I grabbed my script and exited my room, throwing the script off the stairs. It drifted slowly down and landed perfectly on the coffee table in the living room. I fist pumped, childishly proud of myself.

William shook his head and smiled as he watched the script land, sarcastically clapping and applauding me. I giggled and bowed, standing up straight and walking causally down the stairs as William opened the door.

A huge, bright smile was the first thing I saw. "Hello sir, I'm Tom. Tom Hiddleston. And you are?" His velvety voice practically graced my ears. "I'm doing well, thank you Mister Hiddleston." William smiled, shaking Tom's hand firmly. William turned to look at me, his smile growing. "Especially when I get to live and work for someone so sweet and funny as Miss Y/N."

Tom followed William's eyes, his gorgeous blue eyes landing on me. I blushed at William, laughing loudly. "Oh William, would you stop flattering me in front of our newest guest?" William laughed quietly as he stepped back, allowing Tom to enter. He took Tom's jacket, Tom thanking him sweetly as he entered. "I could never and would never stop, Miss Y/N. No matter who the guest is."

I blushed, finally making it down the staircase. "I knew it was the right choice in choosing you as my home helper." I winked at William, causing him to chuckle quietly.

*flash back*

"Hello Miss L/N. I saw somewhere online that you were hiring a maid for your house." I looked him up and down, about to ask if this was a joke. He was a frail, skinny, and tired old man. He was shaking even though the summer heat was over 90° degrees. He noticed my hesitance, and began to worry. "Ma'am, please listen. I know I look halfway to Death's door, and I am, but I'm a hard worker, I swear it. My wife of 50 years just died a month ago from breast cancer, and my children have all grown up and left the nest, rarely even calling me these days. No one showed up to her funeral, not even her own children. I need the money badly, medical bills, rent, car payments, and taxes are piling up. I've gotten so many loans, I'm drowning in debt. I really need this job, ma'am. I'm just hoping you can give me a chance."

At this point, his face was covered in tears. He was on the verge of breaking down and sobbing, and it broke my heart. I could see his pain, and I didn't want a sweet old man to go through that anymore.

"Okay, I'll give you a chance. And how about instead of continuing to pay rent, wherever you live, you can just come and live with me? Rent free. Just do some chores, answer some phone calls, etc. Do you think you can do that?" His face lit up, an infectious smile spreading on his old face that was covered in stress, depressed, and anger wrinkles.

It was a sight for sore eyes as I saw his sad tears get washed away by happy ones. His eyes twinkled with hope and thankfulness.

"Yes ma'am, I can do that assuredly. I will make you proud Miss L/N." He sped walk up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, crying softly into my shoulder. I slowly wrapped mine around his neck, squeezing him with reassurance.

"Call me Y/N."

*flashback over*

"Well, it was such a pleasure to meet you, William." Tom's eyes twinkled with pure kindness, his smile never faltering. "It was an honor to meet you, Mister Hiddleston."

"Call me Tom."
