🌿This is kind of a Alice in the Kingdom of Hearts Au thing. There are things that are different but a lot of stuff that are the same. Also this chapter is kind of depressing. The other chapters wont be (probably.) There are spoilers to V3. Also I might do request for some chapters. Maybe.🌿

It had been almost a year since Danganronpa ended. Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko didn't know what to expect after they left. They still had no clue on who they use to be. Where were their families? How would they find them? Where would they go? Would they be separated from each other?

It wasn't long before those questions were answered. Their families knew where they'd been and gone to pick them up. It should have been a happy reunion for them but it ended up being the opposite.

All Maki had left was her dad. Apparently, her mom couldn't hand the thought of Maki dying at any second. She killed herself so she wouldn't have to stress anymore. It was hard for Maki to be able to cry over her due to the lack of memories. It was also clear it would be a while before she got use to the idea of having a dad.

Himiko didn't have parents. They died a couple years ago in a car accident. Fortunately, she had an older sister that could take care of her. But unlike Maki, Himiko cried over the lost of her parents.

The last parents to show up were Shuichi's. At first, they didn't even want their kid back. They were furious about him ruining the killing game. But they figured he'd find them eventually. The first thing they did when they saw him was yell. In fact, the yelling never stopped. All they would do is scowled and belittle him.

Sadly, for Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko, they were separated. Each lived pretty far apart. Sometimes they were able to meet up for a bit but for the most part, they never saw each other.

After months of dealing with his parents' constant anger, Shuichi ran away. His uncle ended up finding him. Since Shuichi's parents didn't want him, his uncle let him stay with him. Though his uncle wasn't around much, Shuichi didn't mind. It was better to be ignored then criticized over everything. Still, he wished he wasn't always so alone.

Shuichi had been enrolled in a school, but sometimes had panic attacks. He doesn't feel safe in a school and refuses to make friends. Even though he knows nothing would happen, he can't bring himself to talk to anyone. Not only that, but he also gets bullied by fans of the game. They, just like his parents, were mad about what he did. Turns out he hadn't convinced everyone after all. Just the majority.

One day, while walking home, a random guy came up to him claiming to be an old friend. Though Shuichi was curious to know more about his life before, he turned away from his 'friend'. By then he was fine with isolating himself. The things his parents and the students said were starting to mess with his head.

Nightmares eventually become a daily thing. They all involved people dying. Both old friends and random people. Shuichi thought about therapy, but never actually went. He didn't believe it would actually help him.

One night, he had a different dream. This one wasn't about his friends dying. Instead, it was about what life would've been like if they all had left together. No killing game, no trials, none of that. Just them going on with life and making memories. And the best part was that Kaede was always by his side.

Before the dream ended, a figure approached Shuichi. Everyone else disappeared. Shuichi stared at the person, not recognizing them. They were short and wore a cape, mask, and rabbit ears. The figure held out a bottle with purple liquid in it. Shuichi reached out to it, but woke up.

He looked around his room, confused as to where he was. Once he remembered, he checked the clock. It was the middle of the night. Shuichi sat there for a couple seconds, recalling his dream. Sadness overwhelmed him. Before he knew what he was doing, he jumped off the bed. Grabbing his black hoodie and shoes, he ran out the door. He wasn't sure where he was going, but didn't care. All he wanted was to disappear.

Out of breath, he fell to the ground and burst into tears. He didn't see the purpose in continuing. Without giving it a second thought, he approached a cliff. he stared down at the bottom, preparing to jump. Just before he could, someone yelled.

"Hey," a voice shouted. Shuichi turned to see a figure running towards him. "Wait! You can't!" As the person got closer, Shuichi's eyes widened. It was the person from his dream.

"W-what the-," Shuichi started. The person stopped in front of him. "Who are you?"

"Seriously? Nothing rings a bell?" Shuichi continued to stare, but still nothing. "Wooow."

"Forget it. What do you want?"

"To play a game of charades!"

"H-huh?"

"I'm going to stop you, duh." Shuichi sighed.

"Oh. Well don't bother."

"You can't die now! An ending like that would be boring." Shuichi narrowed his eyes. Finally, something about this person seemed familiar. "Now, I need you to follow me."

"Uh, no. Why would I follow a stranger?"

"Wow, that hurts. You still don't remember me." The person started to sniffle like they were about to cry. "Just kidding." They suddenly perked up. Shuichi shook his head in frustration.

"Whatever. Anyways, you're not changing my mind." Shuichi turned and started to jump. But before to could get a foot off the ground, the person grabbed him. "H-hey!" Despite the size difference, Shuichi couldn't get out of their grip.

"Not today." By the tone of their voice, it was obvious they found this amusing. Shuichi stopped, expecting them to let go. But instead, the person started dragging him away.

"Hey! L-let go!"

"Nah." The person continued to drag him over to a big rabbit hole. They stopped in front of it. While struggling, Shuichi knocked the person's mask off. He turned his face to see someone he never thought he'd see again. He froze. The person smiled. "Miss me?"

Before Shuichi could say anything, the person let him go, grabbed his hand, and jumped down the hole, bringing Shuichi with them.
