Kokichi dodged out of the way as Kaito flung his sword around, it barley missing him by an inch. Anger seethed within Kaito, growing with each miss, his pace picking up. This went noticed by Kokichi, causing a smirk to form on his face as he started to shout various taunts and slowly made his way towards the door. There was only one way he was going to get Kaito away from Shuichi, and talking it out wasn't an option. Kaito did as Kokichi predicted, following him outside the house. Kokichi took quick glances around his surroundings, planning his escape while continuing to dodge the sword. He couldn't afford to look away for a second too long. As soon as they got far enough from the house, Kokichi began to climb up a tree, not taking a chance to look back at Kaito. Reaching the top, he grabbed onto a branch, expecting to be able to pull himself up from it.

Fear shot through him as he fell to the ground, Kaito's sword reaching the tip of his rabbit ear, cutting it off. Though the pain wasn't as bad as the aftermath of yesterday's fight, it hurt nonetheless. Shock prevented him from moving fast enough, giving Kaito time to stomp his foot on Kokichi's stomach, before pointing the sword at his neck . Kokichi stared up in fear and anger. If he were to let it end like this, it could crush Shuichi. There was no doubt that Kaito would destroy his clock, preventing him from ever returning. Shuichi probably wouldn't be able to handle seeing a friend permanently die twice. And no one would stop him from committing suicide this time. Kaito would probably gladly kill him himself. Everything Kokichi did would've been for nothing.

Kokichi's eyes met Kaito's, searching for any sympathy he could go off of. But of course, he found none. It didn't come as a surprise but he had still been hopeful. Kaito laughed at Kokichi's despairful expression, taking his time on killing him. This had been the moment he hoped for, having never got to it due to work. Now, not only would his life long enemy be dead, but Maki would praise him. Though she was a second priority, he would admit he had a crush on his queen, loathing the useless male labeled the king. But that didn't matter right now. He would kill Kokichi and earn Maki's love.

"Any last words," Kaito asked, taking noticed of Kokichi starting to struggle.

"You're a fucking idiot," Kokichi spat in anger.

Kokichi bit Kaito's leg, earning some wiggle room to scoot away as Kaito screamed. But it didn't last long enough, Kaito stomping his foot harder onto the other. As Kaito raised his sword, about to plunge it down into Kokichi's neck, he paused, hearing footsteps from behind. Kokichi's eyes widened as he knew exactly who it was, silently cursing in panic.

"Kaito," Shuichi shouted, jumping onto Kaito's back. "Stop this!"

What Kokichi said seconds before he opened the door, felt like ages to Shuichi as he grabbed onto Kaito's hair, pulling on it as to distract him from Kokichi. He wasn't sure how he felt about all of this. All he knew was Kaito was about to kill Kokichi.

Again.

He ignored the sudden pain he felt form his chest, not allowing tears to slip out. As Kaito stumbled back, Shuichi struggled to keep his grip, pulling harder on the hair. Kokichi immediately stood up, reaching for Kaito's sword. Kaito attempted to continue fighting, however. It didn't take long for him to get use to the pain, regaining his focus and trying to slice Kokichi's head off. He started to go ballistic, flailing his world around while also reaching for Shuichi, making animalistic noises of anger. This made getting the sword more difficult as it came close to cutting off more of Kokichi's rabbit ears.

Shuichi couldn't believe what he was seeing. He knew Kaito hated Kokichi but this was crazy. Especially since Kokichi hadn't even done anything. Why was he like this? This wasn't the Kaito he knew. The more Shuichi tried to stop him, the more angry he became, suddenly aiming his sword at Shuichi.

"What is wrong with you? Stop this, Kaito! You aren't acting like yourself!" His own words made him freeze, realization finding him once more.

Kaito noted Shuichi's lack of struggle, ramming his back into a tree, causing Shuichi to let go in surprise. As Kaito distanced himself from Shuichi, he quickly turned in time to grab Kokichi, who was about to jump on his back as well. The two expected Kaito to wave his sword around, wasting little to no time ending them both. But instead, Kaito watched as Kokichi struggled, before turning his attention to Shuichi. He raised an eyebrow, recalling what the stranger had said. This person didn't seem familiar to him, nor looked like he was from around here. So why did he act like he knew Kaito? Even said his name. This suspicion wouldn't be ignored.

Kneeling down to Shuichi, knocking Kokichi's head into the ground in the process, he spoke, "Who are you?" His voice was dark, trying hard to be intimidating.

Shuichi tried to keep his own Kaito's image in mind as he responded. "M-My name is Shuichi."

Kaito tilted his head, trying to recall the name. It didn't ring a bell. Though, staring at the stranger face to face, he realized there was something familiar hidden there. "Do I know you?" Any anger he had left his voice as he got genuinely curious.

"Um... Not exactly..." Shuichi wasn't sure if it would be okay explaining where he came from. Or if he should even be this close to this Kaito. His eyes landed on the sword, gulping as he looked back up to meet Kaito's eyes.

"Then explain!" Kaito laughed at the small jump Shuichi did at the increase in his voice. "No need to fear me. You're not my target! He is." He pointed towards Kokichi, who was struggling to get back up.

Kokichi started to feel a pounding in his head, unable to remember what exactly what he was doing. Shuichi flashed in his mind a couple times but nothing really connected. Suddenly, he felt himself being lifted up by the ears, snapping him back to reality. Shuichi stared at them in fear, unsure what to do. The only one armed was Kaito, who gripped the sword tightly as if it could easily slip from his hand.

"I'll just finish the job real quick. Then we can talk more." Kaito raised his sword once more, ready to strike.

"No," Shuichi and Kokichi shouted at the same time. But neither could stop him.
