#5 The Interview

Dominic Alik is "loose" in the palace. There are a few shouts or screams and Maxim gasps when the girl in front of him gets up to go meet his younger brother and leaves him talking to himself. He leans back in his chair and once again eliminates one more resume.

"This is going to be difficult, Pavel."

Pavel says nothing and nods in agreement.

"My beautiful girls, I'll just have a talk with my brother's annoying self, we'll see each other again. Be always sexy!"

Alik enters the room and before closing the door kisses the hand of a girl who is now more hysterical than an ambulance on the run for a emergency.

"Dominic, is it really necessary to make this whole show?"

"Maxim ... Of course it is! It's me! The Dominic Alik. It's my brand image. But now seriously, is it me or has Pavel aged over 50 years since yesterday?"

Pavel does not move an inch and Maxim is annoyed by his brother's lack of respect.

"Quite frankly! Leave Pavel alone. What is the real reason for your presence, besides ruining my interviews?"

"I want to participate. I want to choose the lady in waiting."

"Again? You picked the last time and it did not go well. What makes you think it will be different now?"

"Because now I will not choose alone. I'll choose with you." Dominic smiles provocatively.

"Dominic, I do not think so. You will choose in a way ... how can I say this without insulting you ... you will choose a toy. I do not want that to happen again. Remember it's to help Milenka. She really needs it. We can not ruin anything, otherwise it will not be this year that our sister will leave our house."

Dominic is a bit sad, but he realizes it's true.

"Brother, look on the bright side: after the interviews, if I do not like the girls, you can throw a party for them, what do you think?" Says Maxim.

"I think it's a good idea ..."

"Well, while you think about it, I'm going to take a break and I'll be right back. Do not do anything without me."

"Of course. You can go, older brother."

Maxim goes without much confidence and after disappearing, Dominic leans against the butler:

"Pavel, stand with your mouth shut. I will kill you if you tell this to my brother!"

And Dominic calls the next girl. He sits immovably in the chair and a girl comes dressed modestly and impeccably. She looks very nervous. But for Dominic's special eyes, she's beautiful.

He murmurs loudly:

"You look like a nun!"

She blinks a few times because of his remark and blushes. She sits across from him and looks at him warily. Then she shows a shy smile and extends a container with cupcakes.

"After so many interviews, you must be hungry."

He smirks:

"Yeah. I'm hungry. But it is a different kind of hunger."

She seems a little bit angry.

Pavel begins to get very annoyed and coughs to show it.

"Well ... What's the name of this delicious little thing?" Dominic leans forward without taking his eyes off of the girl.

"My name is Melissa. And..."

"Mel?" He laughs. "Oh my God! Obviously. Do you know that the portuguese word for honey is Mel? There is nothing sweeter than honey!"
