Chapter Fifteen

This week sana ako papasok dahil umabsent ako nong nakaraang friday pero the news said na may bagyo kaya naman cancelled ang lahat ng klase dito sa quezon city, it was raining cats and dog. Pati sila Mama at Daddy tinamad na daw pumasok sa office dahil umuulan pinadala nalang nila yong mga papeles sa secretary.

We were having breakfast as of the moment. We have some bacon, omelette, pancake and hot chocolate for me and Alexa then coffee kila Mama at Daddy.

In the middle of our breakfast someone arrived I looked at my back to see who it was and I saw Lola. I don't why she's here I thought she's in Laguna and there's a bagyo.

I looked at Alexa she looked so tense never pa sila nag meet ni Lola.

Tumayo na ako para mag bless kay Lola, she just smiled at me, sumunod naman saakin si Alexa at nag bless di. kay Lola and she accepts Alexa's hand.

"You're maybe Alexa." Nakangiteng tanong sakanya ni Lola.

"Yes po." Nahihiya pa sya at medyo ilang kay Lola just like noong unang nagkita kami but we're a lot better na sana lang din magkasundo sila ni Lola.

"You looked like Camryn, you're the innocent one." Napasimangot ako at nakangiwing napatingin saakin si Alexa siguro hindi sya maka tawa dahil andyan si Lola.

"You can call me Lola, Mama ako ng Mama Sandra mo." Ngumite si Lola medyo nawala ang pagla tense ni Alexa although naawkwardan padin sya.

"Ma, join us. Wala ka namang pasabi na pupunta ka pala." Tumayo na din si Mama at humalik sa pisnge ni Lola nag mano lang si Daddy sakanya.

"Hindi na I'll just have some coffee or just tea pampainit." Sabi nya sabay lapag ng bag nya sa sofa bago dumiretso sa dining table at umupo.

We continue eating paminsan minsan ay napapatingin si Alexa kay Lola pagka nagkikwento ito.

"It's good na hinayaan nyong magkasama si Camryn at Alexa para maging close sila." Lola said after sipping to her tea.

"Yes Mama, close na nga sila e. They're a real sisters anyway." Nakangiteng sabi ni Mama sabay tingin saaming dalawa.

Lola smiled at us, "They seems to be close." Tumango tango pa sya. "How did you accept it?" Medyo na tigilan ako sa tanong ni Lola nag angat din ng tingin si Daddy at nagulat din si Mama sa biglang tanong sakanya ni Lola nanatiling naka yuko si Alexa at finofocus ang atensyon nya sa pagkain.

"She's Enrique's daughter that makes her my daughter too, I treat her like my own, wala naman syang kasalanan at nagkasunod naman sila kaagad ni Camryn that's what matter to me. Mama why do we need to talk about this?" Mama's right kasi why now? Pwede namang mamaya nalang after kumain or pagka wala na kami ni Alexa dito.

I looked at Alexa, her eyes where bloodshot na para bang maiiyak na sya pero pinipigilan nya lang, so I hold her hand she looked back at me then smiled.

"Bilisan mo kumain." I whispered to her she nodded.

Mabilis nyang inubos ang pagkain nya ganon din ako. We excused ourselves.

Nang maka layo na kami mula kila Lola, Alexa release a deep breath. Like she's so relieved now.

"Ate nakaka ubos hininga yong lola mo, I'm not used to her." Natawa nalang ako sa sinabi nya. I'm just like her when Mama decided to take over lolo's business here in Manila si Lola ang naging kasama ko sa Laguna. We're not really close at the beginning tapos super strict pa!

i just tapped her shoulder. "You will get used to it, tsaka she's also your Lola." She smiled awkwardly I know Mama wasn't her biological mother but for Mama she's hers.

Niyaya ko nalang sya na umakyat muna sa kwarto, nag scroll lang ako sa social media para maka kuha ng updates hindi naman pala talaga dito sa luzon ang bagyo dadaan sa visayas pero maulan padin.

I don't know if it was only me na everytime mag c-cellphone ako nakaka antok. Hindi ko na namalayan na naka tulog ako habang nag c-cellphone nagising ako it was almost 2 in the afternoon samantalang nong natulog ako kakatapos lang ng breakfast namin.

Bumaba na ako nakita ko si Lola na nasa sofa kakwentuhan si Alexa naka talikod sya mula saakin I don't know if she's alright will Lola's appearance so I got worried pakunwari akong lumapit.

"Oh you're awake." Napansin ni Lola ang pagdating ko napatingin saakin si Alexa she's smiling so I think alright with lola's company.

"Ate kain kana tulog ka nong lunch." Nakangiteng sabi nya. Nakita kong may mga albums sa lamesa it was her baby pictures with Daddy and- it was mommy carrying her and I think she was still just a months old.

Dumiretso na ako sa lamesa nag serve naman agad ng breakfast si Manang Nelfa sya ang assign sa kusina.

After ko kumain nag kikwentuhan wala na sila Lola at Alexa sa living area so I decided na pumunta sa office ni Mama para magtanong.

I knocked to her office room she told me to come in. She's just reading some business stuff.

She looked at me still with her reading glasses. "What do you need, anak?"

I say down in her front and clasped my hands together. "Ma about Alexa." She set asider the thing she's reading then seriously looked at me.

She removed her reading glasses, "What about Alexa?"

"Uhm I saw her with Lola scanning ber photo albums then I saw you carrying her she was still months old that time, so you know her eversince?" Because the first time I meet Alexa she was already toddler like 4 years old.

"When I found out your Dad impregnate her secretary your Dad explained everything but that time he was so busy with the business we fell out love and I don't want our relationship to be ruined more we still cared about our friendship we didn't just fall in love when we got arranger we became good friends until we decided to get married, you're Dad we're tempted." She stood up then sit in the sit beside my chair.

"Dahil and tao anak, we were conceived with our original sin, we can't avoid temptation. It's our weakness, so understand your Dad and about Alexa." She gave a deep breath.

"That secretary wanted to abort her dahil ayaw sya panondigan ng Daddy mo so we decided to annual our marriage it wasn't Alexa's fault I wanted to keep the baby like mine. Iniwan kita sa Lola mo para makasama si Alexa because she was starting to find who's her mom is nagkataon din na namatay ang lolo mo so i needed to take over for the company." Now I understand everything and I regret again what I did without knowing the whole story Dad didn't really cheat he was tempted.
