Ezra's Depression

Chapter 4

Kanan p.o.v

I couldn't wait any longer. What is this kid doing? I used the force to open the door and the sight in front of me was terrified. Ezra was unconscious on the floor on a pool of his own blood hugging a notebook.

"Ezra!"

I rushed to his side touching his face.

"Ezra?"

When he didn't responded I picked him up and ran till the med bay. I quickly took my comm.

"Hera! Come to the med bay, now!"
I said as I placed the comm in the table beside and put my hands on Ezra's wrists trying to stop the bleeding.

"Why? What's wrong?"

I looked at Ezra who is as pale as ghost.

"Just come here!"

A minute later Hera came rushing in the room. When she saw Ezra she shoved me away so hard that I almost hitted the wall. Well Hera's now a crazy mother! Take care! She quickly took the bandages and wrapped Ezra's wrists. After some minutes she finished. But she didn't seemed OK.

"What? Is he alright?"

"N-no"

"No? What do you mean no?"

"He has lost a lot of blood. If we don't take him on a hospital now he will...."

"He will what Hera" I asked although I already knew the answer. I just didn't want to believe it.

"He will die"

I felt dizzy and my stomach was hurting just from hearing it.

"S-set course for Lothal's nearest hospital. Now"

"Alright"

I turned my attention back on the unconscious child in front of me. He was breathing heavily and had a pain expression on his face. I kneeled down next to him.

"Why Ezra? Why?" I started whispering into his ear. "You were always coming to me when you had a problem. Why didn't you told me? I could make it go away" I took his hand and hold it tight.

"I love you son"

Just then the ship moved violent.

"We're under attack!" I heared Sabine screaming.

No! Not now!

Hera's p.o.v

I set course for the nearest hospital. We can't loose him. Not like that. How did this happen? I could never imagine that a cheerful, lovely and kind child could do something like that. I kept flying deep in thought but Ties appeared shooting the ship.

"We're under attack!" Sabine's voice echoed through the ship.

Oh come on! If we don't take Ezra to the hospital now he-Wait! I have an idea! I took the comm.

"Kanan, do you copy?"

"Yes, I'm going to help as fast as I-"

"No! You have to take Ezra to the hospital right now! Take the phantom. We will cover you"

"OK. Be careful!"

"Oh and Kanan?"

"Yes?"

"Make sure that our son will be alright, so I can kill him later for what he did"

"Yeah, I better take the phadom before you kill me too"

I smiled. I shoot a Tie as a red light turned on, on the controls meaning that the phadom left the ghost. I fly higher to take the Ties away from my boys. I looked around to see a mountain. Perfect! I went till the mountain and a second before I crash on it, I quickly pulled the ship out. But the Ties weren't so lucky. Zeb, Sabine and Choper came in.

"Where's Kanan and the kid" Zeb asked.

"Guys, Ezra attempted suicide"

"WHAT?!!!" the screamed together.

"Kanan's taking him to the hospital"

"Then we have to go there right now"

"No Sabine, we have to hide the ghost first"

"So what else can we do?"

"Pray, that Kanan will make it on time"

Sabine looked down, Zeb mumbles Karabast against and again, Choper made sad noises and I kept flying with one though on my head.

Ezra please hold on!
