Am I Beautiful?

Do you believe that you're beautiful?
Do you think you're pretty/handsome?
Do you ever look in the mirror and admire God's wonderful creation, instead of condemning it?

I know that each and every one of us has days where we don't like the way we look. Some of us don't ever like the way we look. But what kind of life is that to live? Why not spend the time on this earth content with the way your beautiful body is instead of hating it? God made you and crafted you to follow Him. He made you with a purpose. He did not make you to see yourself as "ugly". And of course, if you don't love God's creations, than you can't properly follow Him. You are God's creation. So, in order to follow Him, you have to love and appreciate yourself too.

Some verses about beauty:

1 Peter 3:3-4
"Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God"
So based on this verse, is it even mandatory for us to be outwardly beautiful? No. That shouldn't be our main focus. Please other with our external looks is both time wasting and sinful. But I believe that everyone is externally beautiful no matter what (they're God's creations, of course!), and yes that includes women, men, African Americans, Chinese, Asians, and every other culture. That includes burn survivors/burn victims, people with acne, people with freckles, people with excessive hair growth or the lack of hair growth, people that are bald (male or female), etc. God made us how he wants us to be even if we're not drop dead gorgeous. We are who he made us to be.

2nd Corinthians 4:16 -
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."

In this society, a new anti-aging serum springs itself onto the market and it our minds everyday. But listen to this, aging is inevitable. Wrinkles are inevitable. Celebrities succumb to Botox or fillers, therefore altering their God-given, natural beauty for fake, external features. Aging is inevitable so why do we waste time trying to look young again. It's not going to happen! So stop worrying about it!! What does it matter anyway? Our time here on this earth, in these bodies, is fleeting. Our bodies will be new in Heaven. Take care of the bodies and the life Jesus has given you while you're here, but don't let it consume your thoughts. Don't fret.

Ephesians 2:10 -
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
God created us. He crafted us each individually so that we could be uniquely beautiful. If God made us, that means he did not make any mistakes on us. So stop cursing God for your pimple or thin hair, instead thank Him. For these "flaws" are truly beautiful.

Genesis 1:27 -
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
If God created  us in His image and He is beautiful and perfect, then aren't we as well? Sure, here on this earth, we are tainted and sinful. But even now, through Christ, we are made perfect. We were crafted in love.
Think about this, every time you deny yourself of worth, you are also denying God.
Every time you call yourself ugly, you're calling God and His creation ugly.
Now, I'm not saying insecurities are sinful - they're natural and healthy. But they shouldn't prohibit you from joy.

Am I beautiful?
Are you beautiful?

Yes. You are beautiful in and out.
You are loved by God despite your past mistakes.
