Alyssa’s POV
Starbucks Katipunan, 5:45pm Tuesday

Ella: Besh, pag hindi ka talaga niligawan ni Kiefer, ikaw na manligaw. I’m sure hindi ka pahihirapan nun.

Alyssa: Pag ako ang nanligaw kay Kiefer siguradong babalatan ako ng buhay ng tatay ko. Tsaka sinabi ko na ngang gusto ko siya tapos ako pa manliligaw? Ano siya, sineswerte?!

Denden: Ang hard mo naman kay Kiefer!

*toot toot*

From Ate Charo:
Hi Aly, I need to talk with you about something. Meet me at the Blue Eagle Gym in 15 minutes. Thanks!

Alyssa: Beshies, I have to go. Gusto makipag-meet ni Ate Charo sa kin sa Blue Eagle Gym.

Denden: Samahan ka na namin.

Alyssa: Sure kayo? Baka matagalan yong meeting namin ni Ate Charo.

Ella: Okay lang. Pwede kaming magchikahan ni Denden habang naghihintay sa yo.

Naglakad na kaming tatlo pabalik ng Ateneo. Nung malapit na kami sa Blue Eagle Gym, napansin ko agad na parang ang dilim sa loob. Usually kasi merong nakabukas na kahit ilang ilaw.

Denden: Besh, mauna ka na. Magpupunta lang kami ng CR ni Ella.

Naghiwalay kami nina Ella at Denden sa may entrance ng Blue Eagle Gym. Dumaan muna sila sa CR tapos tumuloy naman ako sa loob. Sinusubukan kong tawagan si Ate Charo para itanong kung asan na siya, pero cannot be reached yong phone niya.

Pagdating ko sa court, biglang may umilaw na projector screen sa right side ng gym. Naka-display sa screen ang isang picture na matagal ko ng hindi nakikita. Picture namin ni Kiefer nung araw na magkakilala kami sa College Covered Courts almost three years ago.

That one picture turned into more pictures at habang nagpe-play yong slideshow, may nag-umpisang tumugtog ng gitara. After the intro, I heard a really familiar voice sing.

Kiefer: How can I convince you? What you see is real. Who am I to blame you for doubting what you feel? I was always reachin'. You were just a girl I knew. I took for granted, the friend I had in you.

Lumingon ako sa buong Blue Eagle Gym pero hindi ko mahanap kung asan si Kiefer kaya binalik ko na lang yong tingin ko sa screen.

Kiefer: I was living for a dream, loving for a moment. Taking on the world, that was just my style. Now I look into your eyes, I can see forever. The search is over, you were with me all the while.

Ang dami na pala naming pictures na magkasama. More than anything, these pictures show how much we’ve become a part of each other’s lives. Habang pinapanood ko yong slideshow, nagpe-play din sa utak ko yong mga memories namin ni Kiefer.

Kiefer: Can we last forever? Will we fall apart? At times it's so confusing, the questions of the heart. You followed me through changes and patiently you'd wait 'till I came to my senses through some miracle of fate.

Weekends with my family in Batangas, weekends with his. Bonding moments namin kasama yong teammates ko and kasama yong teammates niya. Birthday celebrations namin parehas, watching each other’s games and trainings, mga kung ano-anong out of town trips, mga pagtambay namin sa kung saan-saan.

Kiefer: I was living for a dream, loving for a moment. Taking on the world, that was just my style. Now I look into your eyes, I can see forever. The search is over, you were with me all the while.

May spotlight na bumukas sa bandang kaliwa ko. Paglingon ko, nakita ko si Kiefer, nakatitig sa kin habang naggi-gitara at kumakanta. I gave him my sweetest smile.

Kiefer: Now the miles stretch out behind me, loves that I have lost. Broken hearts lie victims of the game. Then good luck, it finally struck like lighting from the blue. Every highway's leading me back to you.
