We all get out and Rain comes to my side, talking about her friend winning the race and her mean teacher. We all walk in and Gaby walks to the living room while all the other's attention is on me.
"Come on! I wanna show you my room!" She says sliding off her shoes as I do the same.
She grabs my hand and leads me upstairs.
"Come on! Hurry up!" She says jumping up and down on the stairs.
She is pulling me with every bit of strength she has and Asher follows.
She goes to the far room with stickers and 'Rain st' on the door and barges in dropping her bag next to the door.
"This is my bed and that's my toy box!" She says racing around the room.
It is a pink fairyland. It has pink butterflies hanging down from the ceiling and a pink and white bed with a canopy along with a fairy rug. It is so clean, it surprises me for such a young girl and such a big room.
She soon lets me leave only if I watch t.v. with her which I don't mind. I don't have anything else to do. Me and her sit on the couch and watch older t.v. shows which I was able to get her to watch and she loved them. Aka, ICarly, Victorious and Drake and Josh.
We are watching the Nora ICarly special when I here Gaby call out to Leo.
"Leo!"
I look to the t.v. but I am eavesdropping. I would make such a good spy.
"Would you mind getting some eggs from the coop?"
"Yes."
"Leo." She says sternly.
"Fine."
"Take Beth with you."
"Alright."
I turn back my attention to the t.v. to make my evesdropping less obvious.
"Hey, Beth?" He says from beside the couch.
I look over at him.
"Gotta go get some eggs from the coop, my mom wants you to help."
"Alright."
He walks away and I stand up. I walk over to the door and slide on my shoes as he comes back with a school hoodie on and slides on his shoes. We walk out and he grabs a bucket from the side of the house as we walk over.
"So you're the straight-A student, who Daniel and his gang pick on?"
"Is that really how people know me?"
"Pretty much. You ever try fighting back?"
"I have. Sorta."
"How so?"
"I threw a punch."
"How did that go?"
"Gave him a bloody nose but in return, they had sliced open my cheek."
"What about the motorcycle gang at school? Don't you hang out with them and they protect you?"
"Only when they're around. But I don't really want their help?"
"Why not? Keeps you from getting killed."
"Maybe but then I owe them for stuff like that."
"Better than getting killed."
"Maybe."
"Alright, I got another question for you." He says as we reach the coop.
"Fire away," I say as he opens the roof to their nests, revealing five areas filled with eggs.
