Adelaide walked up and down in her room. Arthur, Merlin and the knights left again and Adelaide was worried for their safety. Like she always is.

+That night+

Adelaide sat at the table in her room, her head as in her hands. Arthur had returned with the nights but Merlin was not with them. Arthur said that the mercenaries had found him and Merlin, he had set Merlin down to fight them off but rocks fell which trapped Merlin with the mercenaries.

Adelaide was worried about him. She knew he could use his magic but if it is Morgana who has him, he wouldn't be able to use his magic for obvious reasons. Arthur had sent knight to look for him but there was no sign of him.

+Next Morning+

Adelaide was dressed in a dark blue and white dress.

"I'm as worried about Merlin as you are." Adelaide said as she followed Arthur into the courtyards. She lifted her dress as she walked down the steps. "You're not going to change my mind."Arthur said as he walked down the steps towards his horse.

"Who knows if the mercenaries have even left the forest?" Adelaide asked, knowing that Merlin would not be happy that Arthur went looking for him. "I have to go." Arthur argues as he turned to face Adelaide who stood in front of him. "What if you don't find him? The patrols you sent out found no sign of him." Adelaide said staring up at him.

"Do you really expect me to accept that-- just to sit here and take their word that Merlin is gone? I won't rest until I at least try."Arthur said as he looked at Adelaide who was staring up at him.

"I know. Just-- Do one thing for me. Please don't go alone." Adelaide said "He won't be going alone."Gwaine said ridding up to them fully dressed in his armour and red cloak.

"See? Now you've condemned me to a day of mindless chatter." Arthur said giving Adelaide a pointed look, he looked annoyed.

"Good." Adelaide teased with a smile. "We will return,"Arthur said climbing onto his horse before they left. Adelaide watched as they rode out of the court yard.
