It was Adelaide and Arthur's anniversary and Arthur decided to take Adelaide on a picnic.

"This is nice, isn't it? Just the two of us." Arthur said from besides Adelaide on his horse.

"Well, three of us." Adelaide said referring to Merlin who was riding behind them, with all the things for a picnic.

"Merlin? Merlin doesn't count." Arthur said

"Doesn't count? Not here, not actually speaking right now." Merlin said

"Aren't you impressed that I remembered our anniversary?" Arthur asked Adelaide, ignoring Merlin completely.

"But you didn't remember. I reminded you over a month ago." Adelaide said looking towards Arthur.

"Yes but I remembered that it was today... Today." Arthur said

"Ah." Adelaide said nodding.

"Actually, I did." Merlin said from behind them.

"Shut up Merlin." Arthur said, which caused Adelaide to laugh as she looked over her shoulder towards Merlin.

"I did." Merlin said to her.

Arthur rode ahead looking at Adelaide over his shoulder. She gave him a small fake smile but nothing else. Suddenly something explode causing Arthur to be thrown off his horse, and then bandits attacked,

Arthur fought them off and he won, which made Adelaide upset.

They made it back to Camelot and Arthur instantly went to Gauis who checked on him.

"You're very fortunate, sire. A fall like that you could've broken your neck." Gauis said as he wrapped Arthur's arm.

"What about the men who attacked us? Have they been questioned?" Arthur asked Gauis.

"I'm sorry, sire. Their wounds were fatal. We were unable to learn anything from them." Gauis said to Arthur.

"We know one thing. It can't have been a coincidence that they were there." Merlin said, which caused Adelaide to stare at Merlin.

The door opens and Leon and another knight stepped in.

"Sire, we recovered your saddle from the forest trail. The girth has been unpicked and restitched. It was designed to break, sire." Leon said while holding up the saddle and showed the part that was restitched.

"It appears Merlin, on this single, solitary occasion you may be right." Arthur said looking at Merlin. Adelaide stood behind Arthur glaring at Merlin.
