My friends buzzed around the two authors getting them to write on the books I told them to bring. I smiled as I watched them from the couch.
“Well this was some surprise.” Kassandra said sitting next to me.
“You think?”
“Are you kidding me?”
“What?”
“You tell us to bring a John Green book and a J.K Rowling book and I’m a little suspicious. You bring the actual author of the book to our hotel room and I’m freaking amazed!” she exclaimed.
I smiled at her.
“You’re welcome.” I giggled.
John and Jo had left the room and we sat talking about it. I couldn’t believe how much they loved me right now. All I did was bring two well-known authors to them! What could be better? Well I still had one more surprise left, one little surprise.
“Okay guys. I have something else for you.” I announced.
They gave me a vacant look and then put their newly signed books down. I reached behind the sofa and pulled a bag up. The bag contained my book, which I had signed, and there was one for everyone. I pulled one out the bag and showed everyone. Kassandra was the only one who gasped and smiled, she clapped too. It took a while but they finally got it, this was my new book and it took them a while to get the picture. Great. I passed the first one to Kassandra then to Janet then Kaci then Isabelle and finally Steve. They read the notes inside, each of the notes inside were special.
“Three authors autographs in one day! NEW RECORD!” Steve yelled.
We all burst out laughing.
“Come on guys it’s nearly time to go for dinner.” I reminded pointing at the clock.
We were going to a fancy-ish restaurant for dinner and we wanted to get changed.
“A dress? You brought a dress?” Kaci asked incredulously.
Kassandra had brought a nice blue and purple dress with her and was going to wear it.
“All I’m wearing is my unicorn top, my black skirt, tights and black vans. Plus, I’m going to do something fancy with my hair.” Kaci explained holding up her skirt.
“I brought my skirt too!” Isabelle added.
Izzy was wearing her skirt as well.
“I’ve just got what I wore to the year 9 party.” Janet mumbled.
“Me too!” Steve and I both said at the same time.
Of course I was going to style my hair as well. Most of us were going to style our hair except Steve. She wasn’t very worried about clothes. Not like the rest of us, anyway.
My heels clicked on the floor of the lobby as we waited for the taxi to take us to eat. Steve was jumping up and down with hunger.
“I’m so hungry.” She chanted over and over again.
The taxi finally came, but it wasn’t a taxi. It was a limousine.
“Seriously?” Janet asked. “Gwen?”
“It wasn’t me!” I told her shrugging.
“Well the restaurant is quite far away.” Kassandra informed us.
Kassie was the one who had booked the restaurant, she had taste. We each got in the limo. It was very fancy. And I mean fancy. Glasses with what looked like lemonade were in the corner, the leather seats were extremely comfortable and it was very spaced out.
“So have you guys enjoyed this week?” I asked.
I got various yes and yep’s from them and I smiled.
“Good.”
We joked all the way to the restaurant.
“Oh. My. God.” Isabelle sighed leaning back in her chair. “That was delicious!”
“Yes, I have to agree.” I agreed.
We’d eaten main and pudding now and were just slowly digesting. Disgusting! The food was great.
“Kassie when I get married I’m coming to you for restaurant recommendations.” Steve said.
We laughed out loud and got glares from the people around us. It had been happening all evening really.
“Are you all finished?” the waitress asked us.
“Yes, I think we are thank you.” Kassie replied.
The waitress took three plates and then came back for the rest.
“I can’t believe we’re going home tomorrow. This has been so fun.” Izzy said sadly.
“Yeah. I wish we were spending more time.” Kaci agreed.
“Done more things maybe.”
“Like go up Big Ben or go on the London Eye! That’d be fun.” Kaci wondered.
I smiled at their enthusiasm. We didn’t have the time because of school, I thought about going back as a professional author. Nobody will know. I thought sadly.
The train ride home was fun. A whole four hours on a train stuck with THE BEST people in the entire universe. What could be better? Isabelle and Kassandra were sat behind Kaci, Steve Janet and I, who were sitting on one of those table seat things. We were the only ones in this part of the train so we could run up and down, shout at the top of our voices and be completely crazy. Which, of course, we were. We played truth or dare, never have I ever and various other games. Each of us and run up and down the length of the carriage at least twice. Steve and I had even jumped on the chairs and tables. If a guard had come in then we would’ve been toast. It was one of the funniest four hours of my life. Then it had to end. The train journey ended and everyone went home. Steve and Kaci were the last to go and I waited for them to go before walking down the little alleyway that lead to my house.
