                                 (Rue)
The sound of morning birds singing, wakes me up.
Then I realize, I forgot to close my window.

I curse my stupidity.
I pull the covers over my face, and close my eyes again.
I never want to ever climb out of bed, ever again.
If I could I'd burry myself deep enough and stay there forever, I would.

But then my moms, or should I even call her that, voice echoes through my room.
"Rue! Get down here!"

I groan loudly.
Then kick my covers onto the floor and  jump out of bed.
I wander downstairs, and get out my coffee machine.
"Na uh, no coffee until you get groceries, I told you yesterday. Me and your father are going to New York for a week, it's a business trip. So you'll have to take care of yourself.
"Not that I don't do that already," I complained quietly.
"Hey you get back here missy! Right now!"
But I already closed and locked my door.
I'm used to having them go on unexpected trips. One time they planned on going to Iceland, but didn't tell me until the day of.
I kicked the ground in frustration.

I then realize, I'm in the same spot were the wind attacked me.
But I don't care anymore, well maybe a little. So I rush toward the bus stop.

I jump off the bus and head into the same Cafe I always go to.
"Hello anything I can get you?" The waiter at the counter says.
"Um, yes, a black coffee please."

I get out my wallet and pay.
I grab a seat at table nearest to the door. The same table were I saw that boy disappear.
Part of me really just wants him to pop up out of thin air, and sit next to me, but I'm not sure.

The universe must've magically heard me, because all I see leaning against the back door of the caffe, is that same boy. Staring at me with his sparkling eyes.
Our eyes met, and my heart skips a beat.
Then he pushes  the door that he was leaning on open, and exited the building.
Not knowing what will happen next, I jump to my feet, and race toward the door.
I stand in the middle of the sidewalk, and look for him. When I see a teen in a light brown leather jacket, and light brown hair, disappear into an alleyway.
I can't lose him.
I sprint down the sidewalk, and stop in front of the alleyway. It's a dead end, were did he go?

I yelp when a hand grabs my wrist, and pulls me into the alleyway. I tried to scream, but the same hand covers my mouth, then I get pinned to the wall.

"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you, just calm down let me explain."
I open my eyes to see the boy, he moves his hands on ether side of me on the wall, caging me in. He stares into my eyes, and I realize how close We are. I lift my arm, and slap him hard on the cheek, I push him of me in the process, making him fumble backward, but manages to stay on his feet. He rubes his cheek.
"Guess I deserved that," he says grinning.
"Who are you?" I demand.
"My name is Jack, I'm one of you, listen Rue, I..."
I cut him off.
"What? How do you know my name? Wait did you just say, one of you?"

Oh no no no, this can't be happening. I was right, I'm not human then...
"What am I?" I say aloud.

"Rue, I only know your name, because I've been following you, and I've only been doing that because, well, your not human Rue, neither am I, I knew you weren't when you saw me in the cafe. You weren't supposed to see me, I was invisible to the humans eye, and I knew it was absolutely true when you broke my wind barrier.

"Wait so if I'm not human, what am I?"
"We are called Liths."
"So we are...?" I say confused.
He chuckles.

"Liths are incredibly powerful and strong super humans, we control and use the arts of mind, spirit, and soul. Including the wind."
"And I'm supposed to believe this?" I say again, laughing slightly.

"I know it's hard to believe," he says running his hands through his hair.

"But you have to. Haven't you always felt different? Felt like, you never belonged? You don't like your life and I know it, I can see it. You have to believe. This is an amazing chance to go somewhere were you can learn to fight, to protect yourself. The Hidden Temples is a place to find yourself, it's my home, and it can be yours to."

I eye him weirdly, then he says.
"Do you hear voices? We can make those stop to."

"When do we leave?" I say putting my hands in my pockets.
He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it, not knowing what to say at my response.
"Didn't think it be that easy did you?" I say grinning.
"No," he admits.
"We leave whenever your ready, whenever you want to."
He studies me.
"What?" I say.
"Nothing." He responds.
"Um, if you are supposed to be at the Hidden Temples, why are you here?" I ask.
"Well, sometimes I like coming here, just to remember what it's like here."
He looks at the ground.
"Can I ask you something else?"
I say timidly.
"You better ask me on the way to the temples. It'll be quite a journey."
"Are we leaving now?" I ask.
"Do you want to?"
I look down the street.
"Tomorrow, I need to, get some stuff."
He nods.
"But, how will I find you?" I ask.
He grins.
"Leave that to me."
And without another word, he turns to leave and disappears into the darkness.
I stand there for a second, before walking out of the alleyway, towards the bus.

I sit quietly on the bus, trying to figure things out. So apparently I'm a Lith, someone who can control the wind, plus a whole other complicated set, mind spirit and soul?
It explains a lot of things, but, it's still all so confusing. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but still confusing.
The bus comes to a stop, and I get off. I walk silently, lost in my thoughts. Once I reach my house, I run up to my bedroom, and look around.
This is the last time I'd be seeing it. The last time I will ever sleep in my own bedroom.
But it makes me feel a bit better knowing no one will miss me.
It's not like I have a reputation in my town.
So I collect the stuff I want to bring with me.
My three favourite books, my earphones, not that I'll need them anymore. And my notebook with my stories I wright. Then I zip them up in my back pack, and jump onto my bed.

Tomorrow I'd leave everything I ever knew, behind me.
