(Rue)
"The art of soul, is quite complicated, that's why mistress doesn't teach just anyone, she teaches the best."He gives his best cocky smile, and continues.
"It's pretty simple, but not really, at the same time.
Get enough room to sand."
I stand in the middle of his living room, with Jack behind me.
He won't be able to master it as fast as me, so he's going to watch, and only use it only if he has to.
"Okay," he sighs.
"Stare at the person you want to posses."
"POSSES!?" I say.
"Well it's not really possessing."
"Then why'd you say that?!?" I ask throwing my hand in the air."It complicated, you can transport you body whole, into another persons body, it's quite painful though." He say.
"I can handle pain," I say hoping I'm right.
"Okay, you have to stare into my eyes, not that far away! You have to come closer."
I take one step closer, nervous he'll do something.
"I'm not going to do anything, your a friend of Jacky here, so I won't do anything, even though you tried to kill me."
I glare at him, then move closer crouching in front of him."Okay, stare into my eyes, imagine your seeing through them, like looking into a mirror. Then you have to command the wind to do something it's not going to want to listen to, that's why barley anyone can use this skill, the wind must choose you, and see if your worthy."
I stare into his glassy eyes, so young, but yet ancient.
I imagine myself looking through his pupil, opening it like a door.
I can see inside his mind.
"Now you need to say this word, in the exact same tongue as me."
He hisses a very complicated word, that somehow seems familiar.
"To get out, once your in, say "out"." Command the word, say it sternly, and demanding. Try."I practice the strange word in my head, then I say it.
A strange hissing noise comes out of my mouth, identical to Sialem's.At first I feel nothing, and I wonder if I did it right.
But then, I collapse to
I the floor.
It feels like a thousand pins and needles, slice at my skin.
Knives dig through me, and I claw at the soft carpet, witch now feels like sandpaper.
I close my eyes, and all of a sudden, the pain melts away, making me feel like air, warm and tingly.Maybe I'm wind.I try to open my eyes, but I can't, it feels like their glued together.
I feel a slight pain running through my body, then I open my eyes, panting for breath.
I look up at Jack.
I'm still human, nothing happened, but Jack stares at me wild eyed, like I'm some wiled animal.
"What?" I say, but as soon as the words leave my mouth, I realize it isn't my voice, it's Sialem's.I look at my hands, their not mine.
I'm in Sialem's body!"
I get to my feet.
"I can't believe this is happening!?!."
I look at my hands once more.
"Out" I demand softly.
Wind wraps around me, and rips at my body, leaving me as me, and Sialem falling backwards.
I run to the other side of the room, and stare at Sialem.
"I did it, I can't believe I...I just did that!"
Sialem looks at me bewildered.I turn to Jack, hating my next words.
"You can't come with me."
He laughs.
"No way your leaving without me."
"You have to, I can't let them take you, if you got taken..." I don't finish my sentience."So you guys are..." says Sialem.
I turn to him.
"What?"
"You know...so you guys are...in a...are you?"
"What???"
"Rue!" Jack say turning me to face him.
"You can't go alone, I'm coming with you, that's my final answer.""Don't make me do this," i say.
"Do what?" He asks.
"Don't you...!"
Before he can finish his response, I fling two mentally called winds, at Jack and Sialem, pinning them against the wall, their feet risen off the floor, stiff, and unable to move.
"I didn't want to do that, but you won't cooperate." I say, adding extra winds to their trap.
"Don't let them escape," I hiss in the language of the wind.
Then I turn around and leave the room, into the chilly morning.
Where I'm going? I don't know.
But all I know is I have to find these people, and sneak in and out of their battle ship, or something like that.
Every evil person, or group, has an evil later or ship.
But how do I find it?
Jack said that it wasn't to far away from our village.
If I just keep hopping from village to village, I'll be able to find it.
I wish I have a bigger plan, but this is all I have to go on.
So I need to find the names of all the temples.
The library.I call the wind to my side, and wrap it around me.
"Library," I hiss.I land in the library, surprised to see no one there.
Mostly because of the attack.
I rush upstairs to the second level.
"Let's see," I say kneeling down to look at a shelf.
"Where would you find it?""Looking for something?" A male voice says, startling me.
I scramble to my feet.
He smiles at me with dark brown eyes.
He looks like he's in his early 40's.
His hazel brown hair is all frizzy, and combed up to a strange dew.
"Um...no, I'm...I'm fine," I stutter.
"It looks like you need help.""I don't mean to sound rude, but, who are you?"
He grins.
"I'm the librarian here."
I wrinkle my nose.
"I thought there's no librarian here."
"No one really sees me, but I'm here. Let me help you."
He reaches out, to help me, but I swat him away, forgetting my strength, he tumbles backwards, knocking one of the large, and tall shelf.
The man slides out of the way.
Without thinking, I throw my hands in front of me, calling the wind mentally, creating a barrier around me.
I open my eyes, and see broken pieces of wood all around me.
Then I realize what I've just done.I look up at the man, he's staring at me wide eyed, scarred, no, terrified.
He saw me call the wind mentally.
And he knows.
"YOUR ONE OF THEM!?!?!" He yells then he flees.
