"So what do we have today?" Rogers asked.

"Its a slow day in the heights today." Weaver sighed. "Not a lot going on."

"Right.. So that girl, Kassidy you mentioned the other day." Rogers said. Weaver smirked.

"She giving you trouble Detective?"

"Well, no not yet anyways. I was just looking for more information on her."

"Well, don't waste your time. Theres none to be found."

"No home? No parents?" Rogers asked. Weaver shook his head.

"No home, she has parents out there somewhere but shes been on her own in the Heights since she was 17."

"How do we not have records?" Rogers asked.

"Because there are none. Shes made sure of it. Kassidy Cole virtually does not exist." Weaver said.

"That's impossible."

"Why do you want to know? Shes just a girl." Weaver sighed.

"I just find it hard to believe that, someone who as is much trouble as you say has not been brought in. Shoplifting, destruction of personal property, public intox?"

Weaver pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Kassidy is harmless. A prank here or there, and stealing a candy bar because shes hungry, doesn't warrant an arrest in my opinion. Not when there are murderers and rapists out there."

"So she just gets away with it because you have a soft spot?" Rogers asked and shook his head. "I'm taking a 15." He said and walked towards the back entrance to get outside and clear his head. He didn't understand why he was suddenly obsessed with finding out every thing he could about this Kassidy Cole. Harmless as she may be, she was not above the law.

Kassidy stood on a ladder rigging up a bucket on the back entrance of the police station.

"What are you doing Kassidy?"

Kassidy looked down and sighed.

"Lucy. Shouldn't you be in school or something?" She said.

"Well probably but right now, this is more interesting."

"If you must know, Detective Weaver took my skateboard the other day."

"So..you are putting a bucket up on the door to fall on him when he comes out?" Lucy asked.

"Yes." Kassidy smirked.

"What's in the bucket?" Lucy asked.

"I found some paint that some idiot just left sitting out. So Paint." Kassidy grinned.

"How do you know that it will be detective Weaver walking out?" Lucy asked.

"Because. Detective Weaver steps out this door for a break at exactly 9:00 ever day." Kassidy said. "Any more questions?"

"No.. that was it. I hope you don't get arrested." She said.

"They would have to catch me to arrest me, and I make sure to never get caught. Now go do whatever it is you are supposed to be doing." Kassidy said. Lucy smiled and waved and walked away. Kassidy climbed off the ladder and looked at her watch.

"Come on Weaver where are you?" She sighed. The back door suddenly opened.

"Finally!" She hissed and peeked out from the side of the building and pulled the string releasing the bucket

"Bloody Hell!"

"Oh.. shit." Kassidy said as Detective Rogers stepped into view covered in blue paint. She tried to suppress a giggle. The prank was intended for Weaver but somehow this was better. She laughed alerting the detectives attention to her location. He pushed his paint covered hair out of his eyes and glared at her.

"Cole!" He growled.

"Fuck." Kassidy said and started running.

"Get the fuck back here!" Rogers shouted after her as he chased her. Kassidy looked back and he was hot on her heels. This guy did not fuck around.

"It wasn't meant for you it was meant for Weaver!" Kassidy yelled as she ran.

"Well I'm the one bloody covered in paint!" Rogers yelled and grabbed her jacket pulling her backwards and wrestling her to the ground. Kassidy fought Against him and kicked him in the knee before crawling away.

"No you don't!" Rogers said and grabbed her by the foot pulling her back. She twisted her ankle around and slipped out of her shoe and stood up and took off running again.

"God Damn it!" Rogers shouted and staggered to his feet He turned the corner and she was gone. Where the hell did she go??

Kassidy ran into Roni's bar and ducked behind the bar sitting on the floor. Roni looked down. Kassidy put her finger to her lips

"What did you do?!" Roni hissed. The bell on the door jingled and Roni looked up at the paint covered Detective walking into the bar.

"Oh.. My God." She said and kicked Kassidy and glared down at her.

"Please." Kassidy mouthed. Rogers walked over to the bar.

"Detective.." Roni said and handed him a towel.

"Thank you." He grumbled and wiped the paint off of his face and what he could of it off of his clothes.

"What happened to you?" Roni asked.

"Kassidy. Cole." He said.

"Oh.." Roni said. "Well, that's typical Kassidy." She said.

"Aye. I've heard. You seen her?" He asked.

"Not today." Roni lied. "If I do I'll tell her you are looking for her." Rogers waved Kassidy's shoe that she had slipped out of.

"Tell her, if she wants this back. She can come find me. I'll even throw in a place to sleep for a night or three." He said.

"Oh.. you know she wont do that."

"Who walks around with one bloody shoe?" Rogers asked.

"You don't know Kassidy. She doesn't just surrender." Roni smirked. "I don't think throwing her in a cell is necessary. It was just a little prank detective. Maybe take it easy?" She asked.

"Not likely." Rogers grumbled and walked out of the bar. Roni looked down at Kassidy who was still trying not to laugh.

"You are dead when he catches you. You realize that right?"

"If. He catches me." Kassidy smirked.

"You didn't see the look in his eyes Kass. Theres no if. its When."

"I never get caught." Kassidy shrugged.

"Well you better start making exceptions." Roni said.
