A/N: Changed Rogers first name.
Sorry its been so long since the last update, I've been busy XD I started what was supposed to be a One shot that turned into a multi chapter (No Ordinary Princess the first chapter is up about to upload the second chapter after I publish this so check it out <3) and then I just finished writing an actual one shot that I will probably publish soon. but for now, I am going to try to get my focus back into this book, and Music in me!

Kassidy opened her eyes and looked at the clock, she had slept in pretty late compared to what she normally did. It was 9:30 so she knew Rogers would be at work by now. She had kind of avoided him since the two of them almost kissed. Her walls were back up and she wasn't about to let them down. Not yet. She rolled out of bed and stretched. She was hungry, and figuring that Rogers was at work she didn't even bother to put clothes on. She walked out of her room in her black lace bra and underwear yawning and into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and grabbed the orange juice opening the carton and drinking from it. Rogers usually had a fit when he saw her doing it, which is probably why she kept doing it when he wasn't home. She looked around in the fridge and found some left over Chinese food and pulled it out and opened it.

"Fuck yea. Fried rice for breakfast." She smirked she didn't even bother to heat it up she grabbed a fork and went to town.
"Oh! Hey, you are up I was beginning to th-" Rogers said as he walked up the hallway and stopped dead in his tracks looking at the woman standing in his kitchen with some very suggestive underwear. It was practically.. No it was see through. He could see everything she owned. He cocked his head to the side.
Rogers what are you doing? She's not a piece of meat. But God damn..
He found himself smirking at the little heart tattoo on her hip bone. When did Kassidy become so stunning? months ago he wanted to throttle her. She looked up at him and spit fried rice everywhere.

"Shit!" She hissed and stood there frozen. "I thought you were at work!" She whined and looked around the kitchen for something to cover herself up with.
"Uh.. No. day off." He said and walked over to the couch picking up the throw blanket and tossing it to her trying his best not to stare any longer than he already had. Kassidy wrapped the blanket around her. Her face was crimson.
"Kassidy Cole.. are you blushing?" He asked.
"Not a word." She mumbled and walked past him to go put clothes on. He shamelessly watched her walking down the hallway
That's an interesting spot for a tattoo..
Kassidy walked back out of the room with a pair of lounge pants and a tee shirt and went back to her fried rice.
"Well, I guess we are even." She said.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I've seen your junk, now you've nearly seen mine." She said and shrugged.
"Love.. I'm going to say this and please don't slap me. Your undergarments did not leave much to the imagination. Trust me. We are even."
Her face flushed crimson again and she walked past him and sat on the couch with her 'breakfast'
"Let's just agree to never speak of it." She said.
"Sure." He smiled and sat down next to her. "I..like the tattoos." He chuckled. She picked up a throw pillow and smacked him with it.

Kassidy was looking through the bookshelf for a new book to read.
"Ah. this looks interesting." She said and pulled the book out, and as she did something fell to the floor. She bent down and picked up the piece of paper and turned it over. It was a picture of a little girl, with blonde curls and blue eyes.
"Whatcha got there?" Rogers asked sneaking up behind her. She jumped and spun around.
"Stop doing that!" She said and glared at him.
"But it's fun." He smiled.
"I was pulling a book out of the shelf and this fell on the floor." Kassidy said and handed him the picture. There was a wave of sadness in his ocean eyes and she frowned.
"Niece? Friends kid?" She asked. Rogers took the picture and walked over and sat down on the couch with it.
"James..." She said. It wasn't often that she used his first name only when she felt it was necessary. "Who is she?" She asked and sat down next to him.
"This is Tilly. She's my daughter." Rogers said. Kassidy felt like she was hit with a brick.
"You..have a kid?" She asked.
"Aye. The woman, we talked about when playing cards."
"The one that cheated on you?" Kassidy asked.
"She didn't cheat on me, We disagreed on a lot of things, especially when it came to how to raise Tilly. I came home from work one day and she and Tilly were gone. Disappeared without a trace. No note, nothing." Rogers sighed.
"What.. a fucking bitch.." Kassidy said and stood up.
"Kass. It's okay." Rogers said.
"No, James! It's not. It's not fair. Okay it's not fair at all you are this really cool guy you are super nice I mean yeah I thought you were a dick at first but now I know better you're total dad material she can't just keep her from you. When's the last time you saw her?" Kassidy asked.
"People don't just disappear without a trace. We can find her." Kassidy said.
"Kass I have looked everywhere. Used every resource I can."
"The mother. Whats her name?" Kassidy asked.
"Eloise Gardener. Why?" Rogers asked.
"Give me a week. I'll track down your kid and then I'll punch that bitch of an ex girlfriend in the face." She said.
"Kass you don't have to do this."
"I want to. Okay? So..I'm going to." Kassidy said.
"What are you going to do that I haven't already tried?"
"Never you mind Detective." Kassidy smirked.

Rogers was sitting in his home office later that night sketching away. He didn't expect Kassidy to fly off the handle about Eloise the way she did, and he surely didn't expect her to be trying to help him find Tilly, he was however deeply concerned with the way she was going to go about it. Kassidy was not afraid to break the law by any means and with everything going on with Will and his people he didn't want her getting into something she couldn't get out of, not just for him. Kassidy walked in the room and sat on the edge of his desk looking at her phone.
"Whats up?" Rogers asked.
"You didn't have to tell me all of that about Eloise and Tilly, you could have made something up, I know we are trying to get to know eachother better, and I know that it took a lot for you to tell me about Tilly so I wanted to show you some of my family." Kassidy said. "I uh..found my old facebook account." She said and pulled up a picture.
"That's Sam." She said and handed him the phone. "And if you keep scrolling there's more."
"Wow, you two look..just alike." Rogers said.
"We're twins, doofus." Kassidy laughed. Rogers smirked
"The thought of two of you is terrifying."
"Nah. Sam..we were polar opposites. Sam was the good kid. You would have liked him. Very law abiding." She said and smiled.
"I don't know, I kind of like the way you keep me on my toes." He said and scrolled to the next picture.
"Thats my parents."
"You..look just like your mother." Rogers said and smiled at the picture of the couple.
"I get that a lot..well I did." Kassidy said and half smiled. "The rest are just..random pictures from my life..before the heights, the me that no one else really knows But..I'd like you to."
Rogers looked over at her and smiled, for the first time all of her walls were down and he was seeing Kassidy for who she truly was.
"I'd like that very much." He said.
