A/N: Apologies for the week long wait for an update, I went kind of manic and suddenly I have 5 fan fictions and 1 100% completely original work that I am working on all at the same time. I was also having some problems with writers block for a couple of days. I hope this chapter makes up for the long wait! <3 LlamaLoyd

Kassidy paced back and forth in the house after coming to yet another dead end in her search for Eloise and Tilly.
"Kass." Rogers sighed from the couch.
"What?" Kassidy asked.
"You're making me dizzy love. Just take a break." He smiled at her. She frowned.
"I said I would have you an address in a week. I am two days away from failing to keep my promise." She said and sighed heavily.
"It's nothing to stress yourself over Kassidy. If you say you will find an address, you will find one I don't expect it to be easy. Hell, I have tried everything, but you've been working on this day and night. When's the last time you slept?" Rogers asked.
"What day is it?" Kassidy asked.
"Okay that's it, you're taking a break."
"James I was kidding. I slept last night I swear." Kassidy said with a laugh. Rogers couldn't help but smile He usually prefered to just go by either Rogers, or Detective but hearing her say his name did things to him.
"What?" Kassidy asked.
"Nothing." Rogers replied as he stood. "I think I've kept you cooped up in here long enough. Let's go out."
"Out?" Kassidy asked with a grin.
"Yes, out. Go get ready." He said and shooed her off down the hallway.

"Roni I need help!" Kassidy whispered through her phone.
"Help? Whats up? Are you okay??" Roni asked.
"Yes. I'm fine, but I think Rogers just asked me out."
"What? Really?" Roni asked and Kassidy could feel her smirking through the phone.
"Well.. he said lets go out and now I'm standing here looking at my closet and I have no idea what to wear."
"Kassidy your entire wardrobe is Jeans and tee shirts." Roni laughed. "Just pick the nicest ones Oh! The ones with the rhinestones on the back pockets."
"I still don't understand why, I got those. I mean what is the deal with the rhinestones on the back pockets it's like it's a flashy sign that says Hey, look at my ass. Wait.. okay I get it now." Kassidy giggled. "Really though those?" She asked.
"He likes them." Roni said.
"How do you know??" Kassidy asked.
"Because His eyebrows almost flew off his head when you tried them on. Just trust me." Roni said.
"Okay, okay. I trust you." Kassidy said and took a deep breath and pulled the pants out of the closet.
"Kassi just breath. It's Rogers you've been living with him for a while now, He obviously have feelings for you and the fact that you called me panicking about what to wear means you do too."
"I just don't know I went from dumping a bucket of paint on the guys head to living with him and now there's all these smiles, and feelings..and what if he gets to know me and realizes I'm not what he wants. Everyone leaves eventually Roni.." Kassidy said sitting on the bed.
"You're putting your walls back up. Stop." Roni sighed. "It's all in your head. Just go out, have a good time. Just don't do anything that I wouldn't do."
"Roni there isn't a whole lot that you wouldn't do that I haven't already done." Kassidy laughed.
"I did not need to hear that. Go out. Have fun. I gotta go someone is starting a fight." Roni sighed. "Text me later I want details."
"Okay, Thank you Roni. Have fun with your fight." Kassidy giggled and hung up as she heard Roni yelling at Rowdy customers.

Rogers slipped on his leather jacket.
"Kass are you ever coming out of there?" He asked standing in front of her door.
"Uh.. Yeah." Kassidy said through the door. Rogers heard her putting things away and nervously pacing the floor.
"What are you doing in there?" he asked. The lock on the door clicked and Kassidy opened it.
"Nothing." She smiled. Rogers looked her up and down. She was wearing a black off shoulder band tee shirt and those jeans. Her blonde hair was curlier than normal. Her deep red lips curved into a smirk.
"Are you just going to stare at me all night or are we going to go?" She asked. Rogers cleared his throat.
"Uh.. Yeah lets go." He said and walked back up the hall. Kassidy followed him.
"So, where are we going? Roni's?"
Rogers laughed. "As much as I love Roni, No. You'll see. Patience love."
"Have you met me?" Kassidy asked as she followed him out the door.

"I have always wanted to go here!" Kassidy nearly squealed as the two of them walked into Flynns Barcade.
"Well now you can mark if off your bucket list." Rogers smiled and found the two of them a table.
"I'm going to get some drinks and order some food. Why don't you go set up a pool table?" Rogers asked.
"Got it." Kassidy smiled and practically skipped to the nearest pool table and set it up.

"Why on earth did you pick Pool if you are so horrible at it?" Kassidy laughed as she shot another ball into the pocket.
"Truthfully, I didn't think you would be this good." He chuckled. "Where did you learn to play?" He asked. Kassidy's grey eyes clouded over a little.
"Will." She said softly.
"Oh..look, I didn't mean to bring it up." Rogers said.
"No, it's okay." Kassidy smiled. "Really." She said and then laughed as Rogers missed yet another shot.
"You laugh now. Just wait until we get to the pinball machine. You won't stand a chance Cole." He grinned.
"Are you challenging me, Detective?" Kassidy asked and raised an eyebrow stalking over to him.
"Are you afraid?" Rogers asked and leaned against the pool table.
"No. But you should be." Kassidy smiled and stood inches from him leaning into the table as well biting her lip.
"Now who's challenging who?" Rogers asked leaning closer to her.
"I thought you liked a challenge, Detective." Kassidy said leaning in as he did.
"Aye. I do." he quirked an eyebrow at her and pushed a stubborn blonde curl out of her eyes before cupping her cheek with his hand.
"Rogers! Your order is up."
Why in the bloody hell am I not allowed to kiss this woman? Rogers thought and sighed defeatedly.
"You hungry?" He asked Kassidy.
"Starving." Kassidy replied and broke away from the tension that was building and walked to their table. Rogers brought the food to the table.
"Ooo Wings. I love wings." Kassidy grinned.
"I know you do." Rogers laughed. "As well as anything else that isn't healthy for you."
"Hey. It's chicken. Chicken is good for you."
"Aye. Perhaps when it's not coated in a gallon of hot sauce."
"Live a little Rogers." Kassidy smirked and bit into a wing and then gasped at the heat. Rogers laughed.
"I may.. Or may not have ordered the hottest ones just to see that face."
"Oh my God." Kassidy groaned and grabbed her water and started chugging it.
"You've learned from the master Rogers." She said after drinking down her water and half of his. "But I thought we agreed no more pranks."
"You mean you don't like all that heat?" Rogers asked innocently. Kassidy leaned over the table.
"Oh. Believe me Rogers, I can handle heat. Can you?"
Rogers took a long slow sip out of his water.
I can sure as hell try.

"Can I ask you a question?" Kassidy asked as they walked up the walkway to the front door.
"Of course." Rogers said.
"Was..this a date?" Kassidy asked.
"Do you want it to be a date?" Rogers asked.
"I don't know.. Maybe?" Kassidy asked.
"Then it was a date. Of course, had I known you wanted a date I would have taken you to a much better place than Flynns."
"No. No. I loved it. It was perfect for me." Kassidy laughed. "Even the ridiculously hot, hot wings." She smiled.
"Well good." Rogers smiled. Kassidy looked up at the sky. Rogers watched the way her eyes sparkled in the moonlight.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"The stars, doofus." Kassidy smirked and looked at him. Rogers laughed.
"Of course, It's cold out here. Why don't we go in?"
"I don't know. I kind of like it out here." Kassidy said and wrapped her arms around him tucking her cold arms into his open jacket. "That..I'm worried that when we go back inside the moment is over and I'm just enjoying this, right here with you." She said and looked up at him. Rogers wrapped an arm around her pulling her close.
"Then here is where we stay." He smiled down at her.
"Did you ever think this is where we would be?" Kassidy asked.
"After you dropped a bucket of paint on my head? No." Rogers laughed. Kassidy glanced away.
"I'm sorry about that." She said. Rogers put her chin between his index finger and his thumb and turned her head back so she was looking at him.
"I didn't think we would end up here. But I'm glad we did and I would gladly let you dump a bucket of paint on me, over, and over again if it meant getting here." He smiled and leaned in. Kassidy's breath caught in her throat and before she knew it, before she had time to change her mind his lips were on hers.
