I traveled back home slowly with my head down. I watched the tears spill from my cheeks and onto the road. I looked back and saw the three looking at me through the window. Parker was even there. I approached my front door and opened it slowly. Then I slammed it shut. The pictures on the walls rattled. I went to the kitchen to see if Mom was home. If she is there would be food on the island. There was a box of Chinese on the counter and a note next to it. So she is home. Fantastic. I take the note and box of Chinese and place it in one hand while I find chopsticks with the other. I slowly start to make my way to my room.

Once I was inside, I closed the door and opened the windows. I climbed through my side window and settled in on the roof. I sat back and listened to the sounds of nature. The sounds of nature suck if you ask me. I wasn't even halfway through my box of Chinese when I felt my phone vibrate. "Who could that possibly be?" I whisper to myself. I open up my phone and look for who it was. It was a text from Ryan.

Ryan: hey heard what happened. U ok?

Me: I think so.

Ryan: what happened?

Me: I forgot my phone @ ur house so i went back to go get it. I had missed calle from mom. I called her back and she just exploded on me. She swore at me Ryan. She never does that. It was like a bomb just went off.

Ryan: awwwee. im sorry. Anything I can do?

Me: I don't think so. I just want to finish my Chinese.

Ryan: haha alright I'll let you go. If u need anything im here.m
Me: thanx. Btw im coming to ur game 2morrow.

Ryan: y?

Me: u make it sound like u don't eant me 2 come.

Me: want*

Ryan: no it sounds great! I'll see you tomorrow :)

I smile and then turn my phone off. I finish my Chinese in peace. I stopped crying silently a while ago, but I still felt like crying. I just don,t think I have any more tears left. I scrape the bottom of my box of food and sighed in happiness. I was full. I haven't been full in a long time. And let me tell you. It feels fantastic. I stood up and grabbed the box of food. I climbed back into my room and put the box in the small garbage can in my room. I walked over to my attached bathroom and looked in the mirror. I had huge bags under my eyes and my forehead broke out with a few new spots of acne.

I didn't bother putting concealer under my eyes. After the shower I took, I put my clothes back on. I walked out of the bathroom feeling like crap. I went to one of my drawers that contained all of my swim suits. I picked out my favorite string bikini. There was nothing I could do about me feeling like crap, but I could at least try to relax in the hot tub out back. I took my phone out of my pocket and set it on my bed. I noticed the letter my mom had written me. It was only a post-it note. It had six simple words on it. Technically seven.

I'm sorry. Rough day at work.
-Mom

"Some note," I mutter. I ripped it in half and walk out of the room. I stopped at my hall closet and grabbed a towel. It's time to try and relax for once.

So I made a typo when Jenny texted the word want. I thought I would be clever to make a correction since they were texting. Because not even book characters are perfect.
