Three weeks past since I found out about Mom. She has a brain tumor. They did the surgery once they knew what it was. She's still in recovery at the hospital, but she should be coming home tomorrow. I've been visiting her every day. We've both forgave each other about a week ago. It lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. If she died when we were mad at each other I never would have forgiven myself. But she didn't die and that's all that matters. Sometimes Parker comes and visits her with me. I told her how we are okay now. We are friends again. I still can't believe it myself.

I've been waiting for this ever since we were mad at each other. Mom doesn't believe it either. In fact she makes me tell the short story to her every day. It's not much of a story though. I was mad at mom and went to stay with the Brookes. Then I had a dream, well more like a nightmare. He comforted me and we talked and well now we are friends again. That's all there is to it. That's what I'm explaining now to her. For the millionth time.

"Honey I think it's great that you and Parker are friends again." She smiles at me and clutches my hand.

"You tell me that every time," I complain with an eye roll.

"Well with the history you two have it's a surprise for everyone," she says lightly. I hear the creak of a door opening. It's Parker with my coffee.

"What are we talking about now?" he asks sitting down next to me.

"The same thing her and I talk about every day. How you and I are friends again," I say with a smile.

"Again Mrs. Caligney, really?" his remark makes us all laugh. Then there is a knock at the door. I turn my head and see the same doctor who I first spoke to three weeks ago. I quickly learned that his name was Dr. Albens.

"Sorry everyone, but it's time to leave. We have to do one more test before we can release her," he informs us. I stand up and give mom a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll see you later," I whisper. She nods her head and smiles at me. I turn around and walk out the door with Parker at my side. Once we are outside the room I turn to him.

"What now?" I ask.

"You want to go somewhere?" he asks me.

"Like where?" I ask.

"I use to go there when I needed some space or alone time. I still go there sometimes, but maybe it could be our spot. A new one at least," he explains. We had a spot the last time we were friends. It was in the woods behind out neighborhood. We found the perfect tree and would climb it and talk about everything. The fact that he wants to share his spot with me, well that means we are truly friends again.

"Where is it?" I ask eagerly.

"You'll just have to see." He smirks at me and then walks to the elevators. I sigh and follow him.
