She longs to fly
And not just flap but soar
Away from the responsibilities of life
Where her only worry is where her feet may caress the ground
She loved the earth
The feel of it under her feet
But her heart longed for flight
And he only s l o w e d her down
With each wingbeat she b-r-o-K-e
For she was farther from her love
But in a raptured touch her tears fell
And as her feet lifted off the ground
Taking the pain she once had with her
And as her tears reached the ground
It reminded him that although she was far away
Her love still remained
And that would always be the same
