Sometimes I wish time travel
Were possible
A box I could step in and it would
Bring my aching feet back to you
Tired from C H A S I N G the thoughts
You left
Crawling
on the
W A L L S
Using the cleft of my love to hold you up
Letting me C R U M B L E with each tender step
Black with each critiquing thought of you
So many things I wished to change
But strangely
I just sit crying over a star
Letting the blinding lights
C a l l you home
Since I know I can't reach for the phone
I grasped for them
Whispering....
Wishing....
Telling the brightness to bring you home
To see the love scribbled on your face
Arms so STRONG I could never ask to leave
A hug that could last a lifetime
Completing my dreams
For in my sleep you're still with me
Kissing each tear that drips
I open my glazed gaze
And see you have already
Felt the need to leave
To
W

L
K
out the door
Even when I
R
I
P
myself apart
Ringing for you
But it's my fault I held it open
Giving you the chance to regret my heart
So I guess all I need is a second
To feel the r e j e c t i o n
Slow and sweet on your lips
To feel your love
A touch teo revive the storm
Whirling in the places you fingers traced
Revisiting old feelings
Letting them
F
L
O
A
T
Swiftly back to me
An ocean bringing you to my banks
Enjoying the thunder of it all
Letting it C R A C K , never tiring out on the surface
So I guess since time travel won't do
Memories must be a B L A S T from the past
Taking pictures in the back of my mind
Holding them 'til I can throw them to the
Fire of forgetfulness
But right now all I want is to
Pull them out...
Cuddle them...
A hug for each ache
'Till I sink into a sleep'
That brings my soul's remaining pieces
Crying for a place to lay its feet
Even when the memories are enough
I still want the past to lie with me
