I sighed as Kristian entered the house. He gave me an awkward quick hug. He looked at me and furrowed his brows. He removed the bag of peas and touched my cheek, lightly but it still kind of stung.
"Ow." I flinched away from his touch.
"My bad. Who did this to you? And don't tell me you ran into some wall either." Kristian said.
"No one. It's not that serious-" I began to say, when he yelled my mother's name from the kitchen.
"Ma! What happened to Chanel. I already know she's gonna lie to me." I heard my mother and Charles, along with Kristian. When he stopped laughing, he lifted my chin and said, "Tell me, Love."
This obviously pissed Jayden off and he pushed Kristian off me and they began to fist fighting right there in my living room. I tried pulling them apart, but I could barely do anything. Thankfully, Charles and my mother came in from the kitchen. And they finally pulled them apart. They both had busted lips and Kristian had a black eye.
I didn't know what to do but watch the commotion go down. My mother geld Kristian back, while Charles led Jayden outside, even though both tried to free from the grasp and go at it again. My mother held a tight grip on Kristian. I never thought my mother would be the one to break up two guys fighting. I guess I under estimated her.
"Chanel, close you mouth," My mother said, I didn't even realize they were hung open. "Go get me two towels and my fist aid kit. Hurry."
I raced upstairs and got everything she told me to get. While my mother was dabbing at Kristian's bloody mouth, I went outside to give Jayden a towel to wipe the blood on his lip.
He was apologizing , while Charles was talking to him.
I handed him the towel and he took it and thanked me. "No problem. My mom should be out there when she finished up with Kristian."
Charles had went inside, so I sat on the available space on the porch bench.
"Jayden, why'd you have go fighting him? He didn't-" I started and he cut me off.
"Nah, you shouldn't had let that nigga touch you like that. Especially when I was in the room."
I sighed. "It's wasn't even like that, Jay."
"Then what was it like?" He snapped. I understood he was little angry, but he needed to tone it down.
"First of all, lower you voice. And you had no right to put your hands on him."
"Really? You really standing up for that nigga?" Raising his voice, again. I started getting irritated and frustrated when I tried explaining how not serious it was. But he wasn't listening. At all.
"So that's yo little boyfriend now?" Really?
"Omg, no! You're my boyfriend. I don't even like him like that. We're just friends. Nothing more." I said regretting every word, cause there stood Kristian at doorway, staring at me with disgust and hurt in his eyes.
Shit.
"Kristian, I'm-" I started. He held his hand and walked off. I felt like shit. I only said it 'cause Jayden was there. He should know that. I didn't really mean it.
"Kristian! Kristian, I'm sorry!" I called behind his back. He simply got in his car and left.
"Oh so you apologizing to this nigga now?" Jayden scoffed and shook his head and left as well.
Wow. What a day.First I get back-handed by my own father, now this.
I couldn't sleep at all that night. I tossed and turned and stared at the ceiling. I tried calling and texting both of them, but none of them answered. I would've called Lexi, to ask her to talk to Kristian for me. But I don't even know where she's been. She never picks up her phone and respond to my texts.
