Anima's P.O.V.

---

Is it just me or is training seems more forceful nowadays? Well besides me, everyone seemed to be a sluggish state and were getting tired easily.

"What is wrong with all of you!?"

I looked around at the panting soldiers. Something's not right.

The general made us ran another lap and I began panting as well too make myself fit in. Didn't want to stand out too much.

We came back and I continued panting like everyone else, forcing my body temperature to rise and make beads of sweat appear on my forehead. I had the strange urge to look up and I did and meet the piercing eyes of Mr.Usagi.

I looked back down and crouched over in exhaustion. This is really not my thing. It feels so foreign now...

"Okay everyone listen up, today was a drug test. In the food, you guys consumed was a pill that makes the body lazy and sluggish. It doesn't affect demons."

No wonder.....Usagi, you're behind this, aren't you?

"What? There's a demon among us?"

"Of course not. But we always make sure. It's unexpected because we never know when one of them is near."

Usagi's stare never left my body.

"For some of you, it worked quite quickly. For others, it took a while. And for one, it took for them to start moving for it to occur."

Yes you meant me, horray. Give yourself a pat on the back.

"But Matoi didn't look tired until just now." Someone next to me argued.

"It probably didn't affect her as rapidly because she's accustomed to being active. So, the wave of tiredness is not something her body is used to. It took the longest for her."

Good thing I decided to blend in. Otherwise I'd be found out for sure.

"Heh...I still say she's a freak." Iyato muttered behind me.

What is his problem? He's been at me since I came here and I didn't do him shit.

"Alright. Drink this liquid. It's the antidote for the pill."

Everyone received a bottle of blue liquid and downed it, so did I. I suddenly knew what it was but kept my face calm as I consumed it. It'll activate my demon.

Oh shit....

I dropped the bottle and hung over in exhaustion.

"It's bitter!" Someone said next to me.

"Mines too."

"Same here."

I nodded in agreement and took deep breathes trying to calm the other side of me that threatened to escape.

"It's alright. It'll wear off in a few seconds."

Seconds!? No, I can't calm down in a matter of seconds.

"Everyone okay?"

"Yes ma'am."

I couldn't move. My eyes had changed. I stayed in my position and continued to take deep breathes.

"Matoi. Is something wrong?"

I slowly got up and opened my eyes, "The aftertaste is horrible." I cringed and someone nodded next to me.

"I agree."

I saw Mr.Usagi frowned in disappointment then quickly reclaimed his composure.

"Well sorry for tiring you all out. But today, you'll be sparring with some guards and generals to test out your skills."
