Anima's P.O.V.

---

Oh.

My.

God!

I got freaking aroused from seeing Izumi in a tuxedo. Get a grip Anima!

I held his hand as we walk into the spacious room. Wow, the decorations were on point. I spotted the generals, which was more than usual, in the corner of the room watching us walk in. Shineki's eyes widen when she saw me then smiled and approached Izumi and I.

"You both look amazing. And you stand out from the rest as well."

"Thank you general." Izumi smiled at the compliment but I said nothing.

I felt uncomfortable, compliments aren't really my thing at all.

"Alright, everyone, help yourself to a glass of champagne." I heard Principal Karachi state as everyone began to go to the large table aligned to the left of me.

"Alcohol?" Izumi asked aloud making me giggle.

"It's not alcohol silly. It's obviously non-alcoholic."

We walked towards the table and picked up a glass of our each before the principal began speaking again.

"This is a toast, to one of first successful mission in defeating demons. And I guess you all have Anima to thank for that."

Of course...please put the attention on me.

"Cheers everyone." He raised his own glass and everyone followed.

I downed the liquid and sighed. Izumi's stare made me look up at him.

"What?"

"Already?"

"It doesn't taste bad." I said as the taste linger on my tongue.

He took a sip of his own, "True. It's actually quite good."

I suddenly felt something. A presence. A demon's own to be exact. But where?

I turned my gaze towards the doors as a few more people walked in dressed formally. It's one of them. But...I can't just blurt out and say, "Oh look. There's a demon. Let's kill it". Everyone will want to know how I know.

I chose to ignore it but still kept my eye on the familiar presence.

Ugh...they know me. That's just great.

The ball was nothing like what I expected. Everyone was dancing, laughing, talking, and having lots of fun. I would call this a party more than a ball but I guess they didn't want the party vibe to go to us young teenagers' heads. However, the only thing ruining it was the freaking demon that was still in the room obviously trying to sass me out since it didn't want to make an appearance.

Suddenly, I heard a gluttonous growl and a few screams. I guess I spoke too soon.....

I looked to my right and turned my body; Saki my "brother" stood tall in his demon form flicking out his tongue tasting the air.

"I know you're here. Come on out."

His distorted voice raised a little panic in the room.

"Anima." He sang out my name and I wished I could have disappeared there and then.

I walked forward, ignoring the curious glances and stares my fellow students gave me and came out in the open.

"My my, don't you look mighty fine." He licked his lips.
