Izumi's P.O.V.

---

I sighed to myself as I knocked on Anima's door. No answer. I gulped and knocked again. I was here at the crack of dawn. She should be here.

I hesitantly turned the handle, it was unlocked.

"Anima?" I said as I slowly opened the door.

I gasped at the sight.

Scratch marks were all over her bed, walls, roof and floor. But no Anima.

What the hell happened here?

"Anima?"

I called out again even though I knew no one would answer. I sighed and stepped into the room, closing the door behind me. I sat on the scratch invested bed and decide to wait until she came back. Why would she leave amyway?

---

Night rolled in and no Anima. I was getting worried. Even more worried than before. I sat on the bed with the small table lamp on, so I could see.

A loud thud made me jump and look around the room. The thudding continued at the side of the building until I met dead on with Anima's demon eyes. She watched me. Not making a move to open the window.

"Come inside." I said that surprisingly smoother than I thought I would.

She could hear. I know she can.

Her hand, with long nails on her finger tips, reached down and pushed the window up, crawling into the room. She never took her eyes away from mine as she closed the window. Her eyes faded to their normal color and she tore her eyes away from mine.

"Where were you?" I hesitantly asked.

"Letting off steam."

I know that tone. It's the same as when she first came here. Cold and empty.

"Why?"

"I don't keep my anger in. What is it you want?"

I frowned at her tone. She nevers talks to me like that.

"I wanted to apologize for avoiding you. I just...." I trailed off. "I just couldn't stand being around you and not being able to touch you." I looked down.

"But you can stand being around Lila. Interesting."

I gulped and looked up, "It's not like that, Ani-"

"Don't say my name." She exhaled.

"W-Why?"

She didn't answer.

"S-Sorry, never mind." I dismissed it and looked down at my lap. "Well, I'm sorry for avoiding you and paying most of my attention to Lila."

No answer. Not a sound.

"I hate getting close to people." I heard a sob and looked up.

Anima wiped the tear that ran down the side of her face. I stood up and grabbed her hand, pulling her to my chest.

"I'm sorry."

"Why would you do that to me?"

I gulped at the tone of her voice.

"Do you hate me that much? Is it because I'm half demon? You think I don't have feelings? Why-"

"Shut up." I held her tighter. "I love you for who you are. I don't care that you're a demon. I told you that before. There's absolutely nothing about you I hate so stop saying that."
