Minato's P.O.V

---

I stood in the middle of the field waiting for Anima Matoi. I checked my watch: 11:58.

Tch, so much for 'I'm never late to kill'.

I looked towards the nearby building where everyone sat, waiting for Anima.

Where the hell is she?

11:59.

I watched the second hand slowly tick all the way around waiting for it to hit 12:00.

Late to a battle, how quaint.

A sound of a small thud made me look up and saw her standing there.

Where the hell did she come from?

I quickly looked back at my watch. The second just reached 12.

Well well......not even a second late.

"You made it." I smiled to myself and looked up.

Anima stood there as she did when she fought my daughter. Right leg slightly bent as she stood calm, just looking straight me.

"Ready?" I said as I drew my sword from its long holster.

Not a word.

I exhaled slowly, before looking back at her.

Let's see how skilled she really is against me.

I smirked and charged, she continued to watch until I was inches away from her. I swiftly raise my sword in the air, expecting her to jump like what she did with Lala. She wasn't there. I quickly turned around seeing she get up on the dirt and grass and turned towards me.

So she changed her move? Ahh, so she did know I was watching her. Interesting.

Charging once again, I gripped the handle of my sword tighter and swiftly and repeatedly swipe it as I grew closer to her. She continued to dodge them all. Effortlessly, sliding, leaning and jumping out of the way. Almost like if I was too slow for her. No, almost like she was reading my movements.

Interesting.....

I smiled as I increased my speed a little and aimed straight for her chest. Suddenly I heard a loud series of gasps from the students.

I watched Anima. The blade of my sword in her chest, on the right side.

Oops....

I slowly withdrew my blade and waited for her to collapse, gasping for air and praising me about how I'm too fast for her but it never happened. She just stood there like if she didn't feel a thing and continued to watch me. I looked at my blade, blood coating the first half of it as it slowly ran down and dripped off onto the grass.

"Are you done?"

What?

I whipped my head around, meeting her gaze. Same as before, plain, empty, emotionless.

Any normal person would have easily dropped to their knees and begged not to hurt anymore but Anima....she didn't do any of those things. She simply stood there with those empty and emotionless eyes staring into your soul which sent chills up your spine.

I'm terrified....

"You aren't in pain?"

She tilted her head slightly, making her white hair gently flow to the side.

"Have you ever fought a demon in rage mode?"

Huh? Demons have rage modes?

"No, I have not."
