Izumi's P.O.V.

---

The things she said, did she mean it? I mean, I did tell the general but I also told him that Anima is the one that told me those things. Why did he make it seem like I'm the one who knew all along? And I don't get why no one likes her. Yes she's rude sometimes, and very antisocial but she's not that bad to be around.

I watched as the guards dragged the dead demon/dog away from us and told us to return to our dorms until dinner. That's so creepy. I finally got to see one of those things up close. It terrifies me.

And she's been fighting those things off for years. No wonder she's so skilled. Imagine being 10 years old and fighting those things day after day. Anyone would go into a void or lose their mind. Still, I wonder why she chose to come to the academy. Maybe, she got tired of fighting those things off, never being able to rest. And she got so accustomed to it that whenever something approaches her, she's on guard. I really feel for her.

"She took that thing down instantly." Menami said to me and I nodded.

"Well, Izumi, I'm going inside, see you at dinner."

"Yeah." I said and watch her leave. My vision went up to Anima's room and saw her windows closed and dark curtains pulled across.

Turning around, I made my way into the boys' dorm and up to my room. I closed the door behind me and sighed. Feeling curious, I sat by my window and looked out, watching Anima's window.

For a second when she look at me today, she look hurt. That's the first time I've ever seen her show emotion. I think she thought I betrayed her. But she didn't say I couldn't tell anyone...plus it would be good for the general's to know that sort of information. But the way she looked at me this evening........it sent a chill up my spine. For a while I thought that if she could kill me, she would have.

I shuddered at the unsettling thought and continued to look out my window at hers. After a few moments, I gave up and left my room, heading down to the dining hall for dinner.

---

I watched Anima as she sat down as ate dinner, surprisingly. The dinner hall was quiet as usual and the food sucked once again. I missed the taste of Anima's food. I kind of wished she would get in trouble so she could cook for again but that would be selfish of me. I looked down at the clumpy soup and sighed before having no choice but to consume it.

---

After dinner, I slowly made my way back to the dorm. My stomach felt a little weird from the food and the taste still lingered in my mouth making me want to throw up. I sighed as I entered the building and walked up the stairs then down the hall to my room. I sighed when I entered the room and stopped when I saw that familiar white hair outside my window. I sat at the window and spotted Anima in her window, watching the sky. She's so....cute. I blushed and looked away then looked back at her.

Suddenly as if sensing me, her eyes met mine and I jumped. She looked at me as emotionless as ever and climbed back into her room, closing the window and sliding the curtains together. I sighed in defeat, yup she probably despises me now.

Exhaustion coming on swiftly, I got out of my chair and collapsed on my bed, sleep taking over almost immediately.

---

I heard a loud scream and jumped out of my bed. I ran to the window and saw girls running out of their dorms in a frenzy.

"There's a demon!"

A demon!? In the girls' dorm!?
