Anima's P.O.V.

---

So, my punishment was serving breakfast and cleaning up after everyone. Touché. I placed the six dishes I balanced on the table and faces smiled at me.

"Thank you." I nodded at them and went for another set of dishes. I make my way back into the dining area, passing Iyato and suddenly something tripped me up. I flipped over and looked up, grabbing the dishes and placing the food land on them perfectly.

I heard amazed gasps but continued walking, making my way to the last table. I honestly hate praise. It's not my fault my reflexes are fast but I can't help it.

"Here's your food." I placed the dishes on the table and met Izumi's eyes.

"Thanks." He smiled brightly and I nodded.

Geez....he's such a butterfly. A rare one at that.

I made my way to my seat which just so happened to be at Iyato's table and sat down. I picked up the fork and began eating.

I nearly gagged. Who cooked this shit?

I analyzed the food. Are we students or prisoners? Looks like something my cousin would give to his demon dog. I pushed the food away and cringed.

"Hey, if you don't eat it, you won't get dinner." Iyato's voice ran through my ears making me look at him.

"I've gone longer without food. To besides, what the hell is this?"

"It's soup."

"Soup? More like soap." I cringed and stared at the clumpy food.

He chuckled, "For a brat, you're quite funny."

I waved him off, don't do compliments.

"Matoi, is there something wrong?"

I looked at the dinner table with the generals. They had meat, potatoes, bread and other stuff on their table but we had to eat soup????

"Yeah. The soup is uninviting."

"Excuse me? If you don't eat it, you'll have to cook dinner."

"Fine by me." I said and smiled. She glared and looked away.

"You're rude, you know that?" Iyato sighed making me look at him.

"And?"

"Being rude to the generals aren't going to make anyone like you-"

"Stop there. I don't give thousand pounds of crap if anyone likes me. I'm not here to entertain or socialize with anyone. I've been alone before, so being alone now won't faze me by a centimeter."

"Here you go making it about you again." He sighed and I tilted my head.

"Oh, was I supposed to get down on my knees and kiss your ass?"

He choked on his food and looked at me in surprise.

"Too bad, it's not happening."

"Matoi!"

I cringed at the sound of the woman yelling and got up, approaching their table.

"Here is the ingredients for tonight's menu."

I took it and looked at the first ingredient then looked away.

"Soup again?"

She nodded proudly and I tched.

"No wonder everyone here is slacking off."

"Excuse me? Do you have a comment to make?"

"With all due respect general, how do you expect to train proper and fit soldiers of you're feeding them craps while the generals have all the power building food?"
