Iyato's P.O.V.
---
Soon enough, I heard the opening of the door and patter of feet behind me. I was more than sure that Hisake was following me at this point. Ignoring it, I picked up the pace a little and turned and went down a deserted looking hallway. The patter continued. I pushed open a door and went inside closing it behind me. I looked around, it was an empty room with little furniture. I shrugged and walked over to the window and sat in the window sill.
The door opened then slammed. I kept my gaze outside at the stars.
"Iyato."
Ding ding, Hisake.
"Hm?"
I refused to meet her gaze as I continued to look at the sky.
"What's wrong?"
"What isn't wrong? Anima is the reason demons are coming here and with her being restrained, we're gonna have to be on our toes. Anima is half demon, who was the person I sparred with on two different occasions and she could have easily killed me if she wanted but my girlfriend doesn't care about the fact that I almost encountered near to death experiences with her and prefers to check on Izumi who had his first kiss with her because that is so much more important." I exhaled, growling a little at the end.
"That's what this is about? It's nothing like that." She said softly.
I tched and closed my eyes, "It's never anything with you."
"Stop acting like that." Hisake raised her voice a little.
"You're always ready to point out when I did something wrong.....yet you can never when it's your turn." I said with a small empty smile.
I sighed and stood, "Never mind. Forget what I just said." I stared at the stars for a brief moment before turning my attention to the door and began walking.
"Let's just head back."
Hisake grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her, making me spin around. Her other hand grabbed ahold of my tie and pulled me down to her level, her lips smashing against mine.
My eyes widened when I saw a tear run down the side of her face. Feeling guilty, I pulled my hand out of hers and cupped her face applying more pressure into the kiss. I back her up until she was almost sitting on the window sill and moved my hands to hoist her up so she could sit. Then, I cupped her face back in my hands and forced my tongue into her mouth. A surprise gasp came from Hisake, it almost made smile. She tried to copy my actions before slowly pulling away. Both of us panting lightly.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt like that."
Of course you don't. You never pay attention to me unless we're alone.
"What?"
I said that out loud, didn't I..?
"Nothing." I wiped the tear off her cheek and she pushed my hand away.
"Why would you say that? It's not true."
"It is. You didn't pay much attention to me in the meeting room. It's only because we're alone in a separate room now that you're even close to me." I muttered and her eyes widened.
"That's not true."
"Did you or did you not sit next to Izumi for majority of the time then when he left, you paced up and down the room constantly making statements saying you hope he was alright?"
She opened her mouth but then closed it. She looked down and I sighed.
"I'm s-"
"Don't. Let's just go." I pulled away and she pulled me back.
